Production of silver nanoparticles from different microorganisms and their applications / انتاج جزيئات الفضة النانوية من الكائنات الدقيقة المختلفة وتطبيقاتها Dina Ibrahim Elshahawy ; Supervised Mohamed E. A. Dawoud , Ramy S. E. Yehia - Cairo : Dina Ibrahim Elshahawy , 2016 - 101 P. : charts , facimiles ; 25cm
Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Botany - Microbiology
The antimicrobial, anticancer and the antioxidant effects of Silver nanoparticles were studded. Silver nanoparticles were synthesized through Microbiological method. The detail characterization of the nanoparticles was carried out using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) Fourier Transfer Infra Red (FTIR), Ultra-violet visible (UV-vis) scanning spectrophotoscopy. The antimicrobial properties of silver nanoparticles were investigated using two Gram positive bacteria (Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus), Gram negative bacteria (Acinetobacter, Escherichia coli,Klebsiellapneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa), and(Candida albicans). Bacteriological tests showed either bacterial growth inhibition or cell death occurred, depending on the concentration of silver nanoparticles and the type of Bactria. The cytotoxicity of the extracts against HCT116 (Colon carcinoma cell line), HEPG2 (Liver carcinoma cell line), and MCF-7 (Breast carcinoma cell line) was determined by colorimetric Sulfo-Rhodamine-B stain (SRB) assay
