At present competitive market is focusing on industrial efforts to produce high quality products with the lowest possible cost. Most of the manufacturing systems of recent times are based upon the input and output models. The system receives the input in the form of raw material, processes, signals, etc., and transforms it into the final product. Quality and the cost of the final product depend upon the factors that affect the system during the overall processing. The ultimate goal of this whole processing is to create a highly reliable and cost-efficient product to get profitability and remain competitive by rapid sales growth. Nowadays, mentality of continuous improvement (CI) contributes to quality increase, operational excellence and performance enhancement, as well as waste and product variation reduction in the processes of an organization. Six Sigma has been widely adopted in a variety of industries in the world and it has become one of the most important subjects of debate in quality management Six Sigma is a wellstructured methodology that can help a company achieve expected goal through continuous project improvement. Six Sigma approach provides significant benefits to companies through its dual focus on reducing waste and increasing value whilst resolving Critical to Quality (CTQ) issues that affect consistency and repeatability in a product and process. The implementation of LSS is finding wider application in many different environments
