The aim of the present study was to investigate the immunohistochemical expression of TGF-Ý1 and COX-2 in different variants of ACC (cribriform, tubular/trabecular and solid) and also correlate the expression of the two markers with each other. A total of 30 specimens were collected. The standard avidin-biotinperoxidase technique has been used in the present study for detection of TGF- Ý1and COX-2, the immunostaining of these markers were evaluated by an image analyzer computer system. The study demonstrated that COX-2 and TGF-Ý1expression was significantly increased in solid variant of ACC than other patterns and thus concluded that COX-2 and TGF-Ý1expression are directly related to ACC histopathological grade. The study also showed a significant direct correlation between the immunostaining of TGF-Ý1 and COX-2.In most of cases the increase in COX-2 expression is associated with increase in TGF-Ý1expression, which may indicate that TGF-Ý1 induce the expression of COX-2
