Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a common compression neuropathy of the median nerve at wrist level, with an estimated incidence of 50 cases per 1000 population per year. The main symptoms of CTS include numbness and tingling in the area of the median nerve distribution and weakness in the opposition of the thumb. The used investigative tool for diagnosis is usually electrophysiology of the median nerve. (Keith, M. Wet al, 2009)As for diagnosing of carpal tunnel syndrome, an agreed upon protocol has not been yet established. (Padua L, et al, 2016). In this study we aimed to explore the diagnostic performance of several ultrasonography and elastography parameters at diagnosing and grading the severity of carpal tunnel syndrome in correlation with the electrophysiological evaluation of the median nerve
