In this thesis , five different techniques are proposed for designing robust adaptive controls , applied to a certain class of single - input , single - output nonlinear systems in which the nonlinearities depend on the output only First , a global robust adaptive output feedback control is designed for a class of uncertain minimum phase nonlinear systemsThe nonlinear systems contain a vector of unknown constant parameters as well as uncertainty both entering linearly in the state equationsThe designed adaptive control ensures that the output tracks any bounded reference signal
