| General note | Como en sus obras anteriores, Ahmed Etman plantea una aguda crítica de la vida moderna a través de la visión de una figura clásica. Se trata en este caso del filósofo Sócrates, cuya vida es trazada magistralmente, que aparece conversando con un personaje ficticio tomado de la vida pública; ambos discuten sobre los 2clásicos3 problemas que afectan a la vida de los ciudadanos. Con su agudo sentido de humor, Etman lima las asperezas de la situación padecida por los sufridos habitantes, sin restar un ápice a la seriedad de los problemas creados por la estulticia y la codicia de sus dirigentes. El autor nos guía en el laberinto de sentimientos encontrados y nos ofrece un espejo brillante para observar que el ser humano, con todas sus certezas y debilidades, no cambia sustancialmente a pesar del paso del tiempo. |
