| Summary, etc. | يهدف البحث إلى تقديم طرق وأساليب فعالة لتعزيز الجوانب الإنسانية في المدن، حيث استخدم المنهج التحليلي في رصد الخلفية التاريخية وعرض طرق تعزيز الجوانب الإنسانية عبر التطور التاريخي للمدن، ثم استخدم المنهج الاستنباطي لإبراز أهم التحديات التي واجهت المدن في العصر الحديث ومحاولات إيجاد حلول تلك التحديات من خلال نظريات تخطيط المدن والتجارب السابقة لمدن عالمية وإقليمية حققت مؤشرات عالمية في تحقيق ذلك، ثم استنتج البحث أنموذجاً لقياس أهم المعايير المستنبطة لتعزيز الجوانب الإنسانية في المدن؛ ومن ثم تم تطبيقه على مدينة الرياض كنموذج عملي للوصول للمعايير المطبقة وغير المطبقة فيها، وتوصل أخيرا لأهم النتائج والتوصيات التي تفيد شركاء تنمية المدن في اتخاذ القرارات، من جهات حكومية ومطورين عقاريين ومصممين عمرانيين وباحثين. |

| Summary, etc. | This thesis discusses how to enhance the human aspects in cities. The thesis includes six chapters, chapter one includes the introduction and research questions and goals. Chapter two includes the theoretical aspect related to attempts to enhance these human aspects in cities. The third and fourth chapters selected a few successful attempts. Chapter five has derived a set of indicators that can be used to measure the human aspects in cities. Lastly, chapter six measures the human aspects in the city of Riyadh and produces some suggestions and recommendations that can enhance the human aspects in cities. |
