| Summary, etc. | Emperor Nicphor II Phocas ruled during the so-called golden age of the Byzantine Empire and was famous for his wars against Muslims during the reign of the Emir of Aleppo, Saif al-Dawla al-Hamdani.<br/>This study touched on the vision of the historian Leo the Deacon of the relationship of Nicphor Phocas with the Islamic East, up to the seizure of Aleppo.<br/>Despite all the victories achieved by Emperor Nicphor II Phocas in the Levant, he fell victim to a conspiracy plotted for him, which ended in his death in Muharram of the year 359 / December 11, 969.<br/><br/><br/> |
