| Summary, etc. | Heart failure is described as the low ability of the heart to pump and/or fill with blood, leading to fatigue, exercise intolerance and dyspnea. The purpose of the study: to compare the effect of upper versus lower aerobic exercises on ejection fraction in diastolic heart failure patients. Subject and methods: Forty male patients with diastolic heart failure, aged between 50 - 60 years, participated in this study. They were selected from cardiac outpatient clinic of general Zagazig hospital and were assigned into 2 equal groups in numbers. The first group (A) received aerobic exercise for upper limb in form of arm ergometer exercises, while the second group (B) received aerobic exercise for lower limb in form of cycling, (for 3 session/week for 12 weeks). Ejection fraction, oxygen saturation, Borg Rating of Perceived Exertion and six-minute walk test of both groups were measured and compared pre and post study. Results: There was no significant difference in the ejection fraction between groups post treatment. There was a significant increase in oxygen saturation with percent of change 0.62% in group A, and 0.88% in group B, and with percent of change 20.21% in group A and 39.04% in group B regarding the Borg scale and with percent of change 6.14% in group A, and 13.33% in group B regarding 6 minute walk test. Conclusion: there is no effect of aerobic exercises either upper or lower limb on ejection fraction for diastolic heart failure patients. |

| Summary, etc. | يوصف قصور القلب بأنه ضعف قدرة القلب على ضخ الدم و / أو ملئه، مما يؤدي إلى الإرهاق وعدم تحمل التمارين وضيق التنفس.<br/>الهدف من الدراسة: أجريت هذه الدراسة لمقارنة تأثير التمارين الهوائية العلوية والسفلية على الكسر القذفي في مرضى قصور القلب الانبساطي. <br/>العينة وطريقة البحث: شارك في هذه الدراسة أربعون مريضًا يعانون من قصور القلب الانبساطي، تتراوح أعمارهم بين 50-60 عامًا. تم اختيارهم من العيادة الخارجية بمستشفى الزقازيق العام وتم تقسيمهم إلى مجموعتين متساويتين من حيث العدد. تلقت المجموعة الأولى (أ) تمرينات هوائية علوية باستخدام دراجة للذراعين، بينما تلقت المجموعة الثانية (ب) تمرينات هوائية سفلية باستخدام دراجة هوائية لمدة 12 أسبوعًا، 3 جلسات / أسبوع. تم قياس ومقارنة الكسر القذفي والتشبع بالأكسجين ومقياس بورغ للمجهود المبذول واختبار المشي لمدة ست دقائق لكلا المجموعتين قبل العلاج وبعده. <br/>النتائج: لم يكن هناك فرق في التأثير في الكسر القذفي بين المجموعتين بعد العلاج. كانت هناك زيادة ملحوظة في تشبع الأكسجين بنسبة 0.62٪ في المجموعة (أ) ، و 0.88٪ في المجموعة (ب) ، وكذلك بزيادة 20.21٪ في المجموعة (أ) و 39.04٪ في المجموعة (ب) فيما يتعلق بمقياس بورغ وزيادة 6.14٪ في المجموعة (أ) ، و 13.33٪ في المجموعة (ب) فيما يتعلق باختبار المشي لمدة ست دقائق. الاستنتاج: لا يوجد فرق في التأثير للتمارين الهوائية سواء على الأطراف العلوية أو السفلية على الكسر القذفي في مرضى قصور القلب الانبساطي<br/> |
