| Summary, etc. | • Regarding the gender of cases, 25 (62.5%) cases were males, and 15 (37.5%) cases were females. Age of diagnosis was < 6 months in 14 (35%) cases and ≥ 6 months in 26 (65%) cases. Consanguinity was present in 9 (22.5%) cases. The median value of the duration of illness was 14 days with an IQR of 7 to 30 days.<br/>• Regarding the complaints of cases, the most common complaint was fever in 27 (67.5%) cases followed by pallor in 21 (52.5%) cases and the least common complaints were bleeding, neck swelling each in 3 (7.5%) cases and CNS symptoms in one (2.5%) case.<br/>• Of the total 40 patients, KMT2A rearrangement by FISH was done for 24 (60%) patients. It was wild type in 5 (20%) cases and rearranged in 19 (80%) cases. And of the total 40 patients, Karyotyping was done for 17 (42.5%) patients. Number of chromosomes was euploidy in 13 (76.4%) cases, low-hyperdiploidy in 2 (11.8%) cases, high-hyperdiploidy and N-Diploid each in one (5.9%) case.<br/>• Regarding CNS status, it was CNS 1 in 21 (58.3%) cases, CNS 2 in 2 (5.6%) cases, CNS 3 in 13 (36.1%) cases (one case was considered CNS positive due to intracranial hemorrhage) and it wasn’t done in 4 (10%) cases.<br/>• Regarding treatment, only 2 (5%) patients received steroids before admission to NCI. Regarding line of treatment implicated, 24 (60%) cases received Interfant-99, and 14 (35%) cases received saint jude total XV, and 2 (5%) died on day 1.<br/><br/><br/> |

| Summary, etc. | الخلفية العلمية والهدف من الدراسة:<br/>دراسة نتائج سرطان الدم الليمفاوي الحاد في الرضع في المعهد القومي للاورام<br/>طرق البحث:<br/>دراسة مرجعية لحالات سرطان الدم الليمفاوي الحاد من الرضع في المعهد القومي<br/>للاورام في الفترة بين 2010 و حتي نهاية – 2019<br/>النتائج:<br/>لا يوجد اخلاف ملحوظ في نتائج العلاجات المختلفة لحالات اللوكيميا اللمفاوية الحاده<br/>في الرضع مع اقتراب نتائج العلاج في معهد الأورام من النتائج العالمية في الدول<br/>النامية<br/>معظم الوفيات التي حدثت أثناء الدراسة كانت وفيات سامة مرتبطة بالعدوى تمثل<br/>68 ٪ من وفيات الدراسة ، وهذا ما يفسر ارتفاع معدل الوفيات في دراسات البلدان<br/>النامية .<br/>تسلط الدراسة الضوء على أهمية الرعاية الداعمة لهذه المجموعة الضعيفة من<br/>المرضى والتي تؤثر بشكل كبير على بقاء المريض وتعزى إلى غالبية الوفيات.<br/>الإستنتاج:<br/>تشجيع المزيد من البحث العلمي لتطوير العلاج التدعيمي والعلاج الكيماوي لتحسين<br/>نسب الشفاء |
