Summary, etc.	Vocal fold injection is a procedure that has over a 100-year history but<br/>was rarely done as short as 20 years ago. A renaissance has occurred with<br/>respect to vocal fold injection as a line of treatment of vocal fold gap due to<br/>atrophy, scar, immobility, and sulcus vocalis. Aim: The aim of the work is to<br/>assess the quality of voice after single growth factor injection in the vocal folds<br/>in cases of vocal fold gaps. Patients and methods: Twenty patients of both<br/>genders aged from 20 -60 years were injected Growth factor using fibreoptic<br/>laryngoscopy under local or general anaesthesia. They were subjected to pre<br/>and post injection (after 3 and 6 months) assessment using the subjective voice<br/>analysis using the auditory perceptual analysis (APA) and the objective voice<br/>analysis using the computerized speech lab (CSL). Results: There is a statistically<br/>significant difference between pre and post injection assessment regarding<br/>maximum phonation time (MPT) and APA in favour of 3 months. However, there<br/>is no significant difference between sulcus vocalis patients (10 patients) and<br/>unilateral vocal fold paralysis patients (10 patients) regarding both CSL and APA<br/>scores respectively. Conclusion: Single growth factor injection showed better<br/>quality of voice

Summary, etc.	تتسبب امراض الثنايا الصوتية الحادة مثل الندبات الطيات الصوتية، تلم الاحبال الصوتية وضمورها في تغير في خصائص التصفيح الفوقي حيت يحتوي على رواسب من الكولاجين السميك غير المنتظم مع قليل من حمض الهياليورونك مما يؤدي الي تصلب الثنايا الصوتية وخلل في اهتزازها اثناء اصدار الصوت. وتسبب هذه التغيرات في اعراض شديده مثل البحوحة الصوتية والوهن الصوتي مما قد تؤدي الي الالتهاب الرئوي القاتل وقد تم إجراء العديد من المحاولات الجراحية لهذه الحالات لاستعاده وظيفة الثنايا الصوتية مثل تقنية التقطيع في ندبة الثنايا الصوتية، والاستئصال بليزر ثاني أكسيد الكربون وبحقن الكولاجين، وزرع الدهون وزرع اللفافة ومع ذلك، لم يتم تحديد اي من هذه المحاولات هي الافضل.<br/>وقد أتاح التقدم الحديث في الطب التجديدي تطوير تقنيات هندسة الأنسجة باستخدام الخلايا وعوامل النمو. لان عوامل النمو تحفز نمو الخلايا وتكاثرها وهجرتها كما أنها تؤثر على وظيفة الخلية. <br/>الهدف من الدراسة هو تقييم جودة الصوت بعد حقن عامل النمو الفردي في الثنايا الصوتية في حالة وجود فجوة في الثنايا الصوتية مع تقييم حركه الثنايا الصوتية قبل وبعد الحقن بالمنظار الحنجري والتقييم الادراكي السمعي وباستخدام مقاييس تحليل الصوت.<br/>كشفت الدراسة الحالية لجودة الصوت بعد حقن عامل النمو الفردي في الطيات الصوتية في حالة وجود فجوات في الثنايا الصوتية عن عدم وجود فرق ذي دلالة إحصائية بين الآفتين المرضيتين الاخدود في الاحبال الصوتية وشلل الطيات الصوتية أحادي الجانب المتضمنة في هذه الدراسة فيما يتعلق بتحليل الصوت الموضوعي باستخدام مقاييس تحليل الصوت CSL)) وتحليل الصوت الشخصي بواسطة التقييم الادراكي السمعي (APA).<br/>فيما يتعلق بتقييم الصوت الشخصي بواسطة التقييم الادراكي السمعي (APA)، تم تقييم شدة بحة الصوت باستخدام درجات تتراوح من عدم وجود بحة في النطق إلى بحة الصوت الشديدة. لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الآفتين المرضيتين فيما يتعلق بشدة بحة الصوت قبل الجراحة وبعد ثلاثة أشهر وستة أشهر بعد الجراحة.<br/>وفقًا للتحليل الصوت الموضوعي باستخدام مقاييس تحليل الصوت (CSL)، لا يوجد فرق إحصائي قبل الجراحة، بعد ثلاثة وسته أشهر بعد الجراحة.<br/>كما يوجد فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية فيما يتعلق بالوقت الأقصى للتحدث (MPT) لصالح 3 أشهر بعد الجراحة بقيمة p 0.022.<br/>ويوجد ايضا فرق معتد به إحصائياً فيما يتعلق بـ APA بقيمة p <0.001<br/>
