Summary, etc. | Tarnishing, or more accurately, corrosion of silver artifacts, is brought on by interactions with the environment. Identification of corrosion products and their generation mechanisms is crucial for the preservation and restoration of silver artifacts. Conservators evaluate an object's conservation status through scientific diagnostic assessment and recomned to monitor or reduce the environment's corrosiveness. Polymer coating systems are frequently employed to safeguard metal by preventing water from passing through the coating and coming into contact with the metal.There is an urgent need to develop new kinds of coatings due to the environmental risks connected to volatile organic compounds from existing polymer coating systems. Furthermore, when a coating is not uniformly applied on the metal substrate or does not have the necessary thickness, and if there are surface defects, such as bubble holes and cracks, air and moisture could penetrate, resulting in pitting or filiform corrosion. Because of these worries, vapor deposition methods like plasma assisted chemical vapor deposition(PECVD) that create environmentally benign coatings have come to light. The organic monomers are vaporized and flow into the deposition chamber during the deposition process. The monomers are broken down into radicals, ions, and electrons when a high-frequency electromagnetic field is introduced to the vaporized gas. These fragments then interact to produce a thin film on the substrate. Plasma polymerized coatings feature higher crosslink densities and superior substrate adherence as compared to conventional polymer coatings. Due to the fact that PECVD does not use standard organic solvents, it is more environmentally friendly and emits significantly fewer VOCs. |

Summary, etc. | إن عملية تآكل الآثار الفضية والمعروف بشكل أكثر دقة بمصطلح التطويس تحدث بسبب التفاعلات مع البيئية المحيطة , فإنه من منظور الحفاظ على الآثار الفضية وترميمها , فإن تحديد منتجات التآكل وآليات تكوينها لهما أهمية كبيرة , فإنه من خلال الدراسات التشخيصية العلمية فإن القائمون بعمليات الترميم والصيانة يقومون بتقييم حالة الحفظ الموجودفيها الأثر والتقليل من مسببات التآكل. ويمكن حماية الآثار الفضية من مسبببات التآكل عن طريق أحد أنظمة الطلاءاءت المختلفة وتتناول الدراسة تقييم فعالية وأداء الأبخرة الكيميائية بنحفيز البلازما فى ترسيب أنواع منختلفة من الأغشية الرقيقة الشفافة والمعروفة ب Thin film المقاومة للتآكل بغرض حماية أسطح المقتنيات الفضية من التآكل لحمايتها من التغييرات فى الرطوبة ودرجة الحرارة وملوثات الهواء من أجل الحفاظ على مجموعات الآثار الفضية التى تعكس الكثير من القيم الجمالية والتاريخية والفنية والثقافية.<br/>تقترح هذه الدراسة نهجًا جديدًا في الجهود المبذولة لحماية القطع الفضية الآثرية ومعالجة مشكلة الحماية التي تمثل التحدي الأكبر للآثار الفضية حيث تم تطبيق البلازما تحت ظروف ترسيب مختلفة على عينات مكونة من سبيكة الفضة والنحاس وذلك للوصول إلى أفضل ظروف ترسيب مثالية وتمت عملية التقييم لمعرفة مدى كفاءة البلازما فى مدى توفيرها أفضل حماية للأسطح الفضية من خلال الفحص بإستخدام الميكروسكوب الإلكترونى الماسح المزود بوحدة التحليل العنصرى , الفحص بإستخدام ميكروسكوب القوى الذرى, وكذلك تقييم التغيير اللونى للعينات, إستخدام التحليل الطيفى للأشعة تحت الحمراء, وقياس زاوية التلامس للعينات قبل وبعد الترسيب لأفلام الحماية.<br/><br/> |
