Summary, etc. | The current study aimed to examine the effect of Carousel Cooperative learning Strategy on the fluency level of young Egyptian EFL learners during their storytelling. This was due to the occurrence of various disfluency markers in the spontaneous speech of Egyptians, which sometimes leads to the loss of meaning and miscommunication. This calls for the application of pedagogical strategies that can be employed to improve performance in speech. Carousel Cooperative learning Strategy was applied in an attempt to address this problem. This study was a quasi-experimental study that applied a pre-test-treatment-post-test design. The data was collected through asking each one of the five years old twenty-four participants individually to tell their favourite story as a pre-test. Then, the participants were divided into two groups of twelve participants, an experimental and a control group, each. After four weeks of the treatment, the post-test which was exactly the same as the pre-test was administered. The t-test was used on the SPSS program to analyse the results. The results showed that the participants from both groups began the experiment at the same level. Then, the post-test results revealed that the disfluency marks (pauses, filler and repetitions) of the participants in the experimental group were reduced, while those of the control group were almost the same, which means that the treatment had a positive effect on the learners’ fluency level. The results of the study indicate the effectiveness of the Carousel Cooperative Learning Strategy in improving learners’ fluency in English. |

Summary, etc. | هدفت هذة الدراسة الي اختبار تأثير استراتيجية التعلم التعاوني الدائري و تأثيرها علي درجة الطلاقة الشفهية لصغار متعلمي اللغة الانجليزية المصريين كلغة اجنبية اثناء قص قصص. و قد قامت هذة الدراسة لووجود العديد من اضطرابات التواصل في حوار المصريين الطلقائي. مما يؤدي الي فقدان المعني او سوء التواصل. مما يستوجب لاستخدام استراتيجيات تعليمية لتحسين الاداء الكلامي. تم تطبيق استراتيجية التعلم التعاوني الدائري لمحاولة ايجاد حل لهذة المشكلة. وقد وظفت هذة الدراسة المنهج شبه التجريبي عن طريق تصميم الاختبار السابق و اللاحق للمعالجة. و تم تجميع البيانات عن طريق سؤال كل طفل البالغ من العمر خمس سنوات من المشاركين علي حدي لقص قصته المفضلة ليكون اختبار سابق. ثم تم فصل المشاركين الي مجموعتين و هما التجريبية و التحكم, حيث تحتوي كل مجموعة علي اثنا عشر طالب. قام الاختبار البعدي بعد اربعة اسابيع من المعاملة و الذي تم بنفس طريقة الاختبار القبلي. و قد تم استخدام اختبار تي علي برنامج SPSS لتحليل النتائج. اوضحت النتائج ان افراد المجموعتين بدئوا التجربة و هم بنفس المستوي. تباعا اوضحت نتائج الاختبار البعدي ان اضرابات التواصل (السكتات و الحشو و التكرار) قد انخفضت للمجموعة التجريبية بينا ظلت كما هي لمجموعة التحكم. مما يوضح التاثير الاجابي لتجربة هذة الاستراتيجية علي الطلاقة الشفهية للمتعلمين. اوضحت نتائج التجربة فاعلية استراتيجية التعلم التعاوني الدائري في تحسين طلاقة اللغة الانجليزية.<br/><br/> |
