| Summary, etc. | Purpose: The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effect of aerobic training combined with diet protocol on immune system in post mastectomy patients receiving adjuvant chemotherapy. Subjects and methods: Sixty female patients with breast cancer receiving adjuvant chemotherapy their ages ranged from 30-60 were randomly recruited from the Oncology Department at the Police Academy Hospital, New Cairo, Egypt. They were randomly assigned to three groups, each group had 20 patients. Group (A) engaged in an aerobic training and followed a diet protocol, Group (B) followed a diet protocol only, while and Group (C) engaged in an aerobic training only. Outcomes: Total lymphocyte count (TLC), Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and Platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) were measured before (baseline) and after twelve weeks of the intervention. Results: After 12 weeks of intervention, the percentage of change in TLC, NLR and PLT was 34.74%, 40.79% and 30.69% respectively in the aerobic training combined with diet protocol group, 5.59%, 6.64% and 5.22% respectively in the diet protocol group and 28.16%, 22.54% and 18.17% respectively in aerobic training group. Between groups comparison revealed that there was a statistically significant difference in all immunological markers in favor to aerobic training combined with diet protocol (p< 0.001). Conclusion: Both of aerobic training and diet protocol might be useful therapeutic tools for improving the immune system, but the combination between aerobic training and diet protocol found to be superior to aerobic training group and diet protocol group in term of improving the immune markers |

| Summary, etc. | تاثير التمارين الهوائية المدمجة مع النظام الغذائي علي الجهاز المناعي في مرضى سرطان الثدي المتلقون للعلاج الكيماوي التكميلي.<br/>الهدف من الدراسه:<br/>اجريت هزه الدراسه لمعرفه تاثير تاثير التمارين الهوائية المدمجة مع النظام الغذائي علي الجهاز المناعي في مرضى سرطان الثدي المتلقون للعلاج الكيماوي التكميلي شارك في هذه الدراسه 60 مريضه من الاناث وتم تقسيمهم عشوائيا الي ثلاث مجموعات متساوية في العدد<br/>المجموعه الاولي تلقوا العلاج بالتمارين الهوائية المدمجة مع النظام الغذائي لمدة 12 اسبوع.<br/>المجموعه التانيه تلقوا العلاج بالنظام الغذائي فقط لمده 12 اسبوع.<br/>المجموعة الثالثة تلقو العلاج بالتمارين الهوائية فقط لمده 12 اسبوع.<br/>وقد تم تقيمهم قبل العلاج وبعد 12 اسبوع باستخدام الدلالات المناعية.<br/>وقد اظهرت النتائج ما يلي:<br/>ان هناك تحسن ذو دلاله احصائيه في الثلاث مجموعات في الدلالات المناعية ولكن في المجموعه الاولي والتي تلقت العلاج بالتمارين الهوائية المدمجة مع النظام الغذائي لمده 12 اسبوع اكثر من المجموعه التانيه والتي تلقت العلاج بالنظام الغذائي فقط لمده 12 اسبوع والمجموعة الثالثة التي تلقت العلاج بالتمارين الهوائية فقط لمده 12 اسبوع وقد تم تسجيل هذا التحسن بعد 12 اسبوع .<br/>وبعد مناقشه هذه النتائج وتحليلها قد تبين ان التمارين الهوائية المدمجة مع النظام الغذائي كان له تاثيرا افضل وذو دلاله احصائيه على الجهاز المناعي في مرضى سرطان الثدي المتلقون للعلاج الكيماوي التكميلي.<br/>ولقد اشتملت الدراسة على 80 مرجع تم ترتيبهم ترتيباً ابجدياً |
