| Summary, etc. | lactic acid is employed in the manufacturing of polylactic acid, as well as the development of exopolysaccharides and has environmental value. This study aimed to isolation of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) from silage capable of growing on different kinds of sugar and enhancement production of LA, and EPS by obtaining strains using batch culture technique. LA, and EPS production yields affected by some factors were studied during the fermentation process of all previous wastes and mix of them. calcium carbonate exhibited a good supplement during batch fermentations and could be used in LA and EPS production when the sugar concentration is too high |

| Summary, etc. | يعد إنتاج عديد حامض اللاكتيك كأحد أنواع البوليمرات القابلة للتحلل ميكروبياً وذات أهمية بيئية كبرى وبالتالى هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى عزل بكتيريا حمض اللاكتيك (LAB) من السيلاج القادرة على النمو على أنواع مختلفة من السكر وتعزيز إنتاج LA المستخدم كأساس لإنتاج الـ PLA وانتاج الـ EPS وذلك من خلال الحصول على سلالات واعدة باستخدام تقنية الإنتاج على دفعات. تم دراسة إنتاجية LA و EPS المتأثرة ببعض العوامل أثناء عملية التخمير لجميع المخلفات السابقة وخلطها معاً. أظهرت إضافة كربونات الكالسيوم دوراً جيدا خلال عملية الإنتاج ويمكن استخدامها في إنتاج حمض اللاكتيك والـ EPS عندما يكون تركيز السكر عالى بالمقارنة بعدم إستخدامها. |
