Background: Children with disabilities have the same nutritional behavior needs as normal children. Nutritional behavior health education is essential for children with vision loss by using the Braille method. Aim: To evaluate the effect of an educational program utilizing the Braille method on nutritional behavior among vision-loss children at the Cairo governorate. Design: A quasi-experimental research design was used. Setting: The study was conducted at the Al-Karma institution in the Shubra district of the Cairo Governorate. Sample: Purposive sample of 40 vision-loss children. Tools of Data Collection: Three tools were used:1-Vision-loss children's structured interviewing questionnaire.2- Vision-loss children's observational practices checklist related to their nutritional behavior and observational practices checklist related to nutritional services provided in the institution restaurants.3- Nutritional planned behavior theory structured interviewing questionnaire. Results: Mean ± SD of children age was 9.88±1.97. Total knowledge scores were 2.5%, 97.5% and 100% pre, post and follow-up respectively. Total observational practices scores were 2.5%, 100% and 97.5% pre, post and follow-up respectively. Total attitudes scores were 47.5%, 100% and 100% pre, post and follow-up respectively. Total behavioral intention scores were 2.5%, 92.5% and 85% pre, post and follow-up respectively. Conclusion: Children with vision loss who received the Braille nutritional behavior program had higher levels of knowledge, practices, attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and behavioral intention after completing the educational program. Recommendations: Increase dissemination of nutritional behavior educational programs for vision-loss children by using the Braille method for all organizations of vision loss children. |

الأطفال ذوي الإعاقة لديهم نفس احتياجات السلوك الغذائي مثل الأطفال العاديين. التثقيف الصحي السلوكي التغذوي بإستخدام طريقة برايل ضروري للأطفال الذين يعانون من فقدان البصر. هدفت الدراسة إلى تقييم أثر برنامج تعليمي بإستخدم طريقة برايل على السلوك الغذائي لدى الأطفال الذين يعانون من فقدان البصر في محافظة القاهرة. تم استخدام تصميم بحث شبه تجريبي في هذه الدراسة. أجريت الدراسة بمؤسسة الكرمة بإدارة شبرا بمحافظة القاهرة. تم إختيار عينة هادفة من 40 طفل و طفلة يعانون من فقدان البصر من مؤسسة الكارما. تم استخدام ثلاث أدوات للدراسة: 1- استبيان المقابلات المنظمة للأطفال فاقدي البصر. 2- قائمة ملاحظة الممارسات للأطفال الذين يعانون من فقدان البصر المتعلقة بسلوكهم الغذائي و قائمة ملاحظة الممارسات المتعلقة بالخدمات الغذائية المقدمة في مطاعم المؤسسة. 3- استبيان نظرية السلوك الغذائي المخطط. أظهرت نتائج أن متوسط عمر الأطفال فاقدي البصر 9.88 ± 1.97. بلغ مجموع درجات المعرفة 2.5٪ و 97.5٪ و 100٪ قبل وبعد والمتابعة على التوالي. كان إجمالي درجات الممارسات التغذوية الملحوطة 2.5٪ و 100٪ و 97.5٪ قبل وبعد والمتابعة على التوالي. بلغ مجموع درجات الأتجاهات الغذائية 47.5٪ و 100٪ و 100٪ قبل وبعد والمتابعة على التوالي. كانت مجموع درجات النية السلوكية 2.5٪ ، 92.5٪ ، 85٪ قبل وبعد والمتابعة على التوالي.توصي الدراسة بالأتي : زيادة نشر البرامج التعليمية للسلوك الغذائي للأطفال الذين يعانون من فقدان البصر باستخدام طريقة برايل لجميع مؤسسات الأطفال الذين يعانون من فقدان البصر. |
