| Summary, etc. | This thesis includes the investigation of Zinc cobalt doped Phosphate glasses<br/>with a chemical composition 45P2O5- 4Co3O4– (11+x) Na2O - (40-x) ZnO<br/>where (x= 0, 2,4,6,8 and 10mol %) where prepared by the conventional melt<br/>– quenching technique. The prepared samples were characterized using X-<br/>Ray diffraction (XRD), and U-V Optical absorption, Fourier – Transform<br/>Infrared (FTIR) and physical properties investigation. From these<br/>measurements, we found that all composites have optical filter behavior in<br/>the VIS,UV and IR regions, also ZnO enhances phosphate chains and<br/>cohesion of glass structure due to the replacing of P-O-P bonds by Zn-O-P<br/>bonds. |
