Objective: The aim is to achieve a good cosmetic result by forming a socket with adequate fornices to enable the patient to wear a fitting eye prosthesis. <br/>Background: Anophthalmia leads to cosmetic deformity and may affect patients’ psychology. Socket contraction is the main problem in the anopthalmic patients and characterized by scarring, granulation tissue formation and loss of fornices. <br/>Patient and method: 19 patients with contracted eye socket post burn, trauma, infection and malignancy all of them are severe form of contracted eye socket except one case is moderate form ,presented to Kasr Al-Ainy Cairo university hospital. They were done by simple techniques skin graft, Mucus membrane graft, serial dilatation. <br/>Result: The result obtained has been satisfying enable pt to wear artificial eye simulating other eye. Serial dilatation used in combination with skin graft and in congenital contracted socket. <br/>Conclusion: Contracted socket, one of the most dreaded complications of anophthalmos, refers to shrinkage of orbital tissue accompanied by a reduction in the orbital volume along with a decrease in the forniceal depth. It eventually results in an inability to sustain a prosthesis. Serial dilatation is a strong weopon in management of resistant cases |

يؤدي فقدان العين الى تشوهات مما يؤثر على الحاله النفسيه للمريض . يعد تليف الحجاج من اخطر مشكله عند المريض ويتمىز بوجود تليفات بالعين .<br/>الهدف من جراحات الحجاج المتليف هو تمكي المريض من ارتداء عين صناعيه وهناك عوامل كثيره تؤدي الى تليف الحجاج كالحادث الاساسى او تعدد التدخل الجراحي الحروق بانواعها او الاشعاع <br/>تليف الحجاج وهو من اخطر المشاكل التي تواجه ريض فقدا العين ويعني انكماش الانسجه المحيطه للعين مع قصر الجفون مما يؤدي بالنهايه الى عدم قدره المريض على ارتداء عين صناعيه. <br/>في هده الدراسه استخدمنا اساليب بسيطه لاعاده بناء قبو الجفون ز ولم يتم اعاه بناء لحجم العين واعتمدنا على اخفاء ضور العين عن طريق زياده سمك العين الصناعيه من المنتصف ولكن تم عمل شريحه دهنيه لطفل 5 سنوات <br/>تعلم تقنية العيون الصناعيه من قبل الجراح يساعد على تحسين النتائج <br/> |
