Atomic oxygen (AO) is a major threat to satellites in Low Earth Orbits (LEO). It causes serious damage to satellites such as erosion, corrosion and damage to almost all satellites surfaces. The thesis presents a full study for the formation of AO and all possible reaction mechanisms with materials that can be used in space technology. It discusses the cube satellite such as NARSSCube 1. It shows the erosion yields of AO with the satellite materials. A standalone prediction model has been developed to predict the AO and the coronal mass ejections (CMEs). The study recommends the necessity of developing a database for all materials used in space providing all data for the effect of AO on each material in addition to the erosion depth and mass loss. It also recommends continuous development and improvement of predictive models for solar activity and space-environment components |

يمثل الاكسجين الذري تهديد خطير علي الاقمار الصناعية في المدارات الارضية المنخفضة. قد يسبب الاكسجين الذري اضرارا جسيمه للقمر الصناعي مثل الصدأ والتآكل للاسطح الخارجيه له. تقدم هذه الرساله دراسة كامله عن التفاعلات التي ينتج عنها تكوين الاكسجين الذري مع اضافة جميع التفاعلات الممكنه بينه وبين جميع المواد التي قد تستخدم في صناعة الاقمار الصناعية. تمت دراسة تأثير الاكسجين الذري علي القمر الصناعي المصري (نارس كيوب 1) مع تحليل لنتيجة تفاعلاته مع مواد الاسطح الخارجية للقمر. تم تطوير نموذج رياضي للتنبؤ بتركيز الاكسجين الذري في المدارات الارضية المنخفضة مع بعض الامثلة للنشاط الشمسي مثل طرد الكتل الشمسية من كورونا الشمس. توصي هذه الرسالة بضرورة تطوير قاعدة بيانات لجميع المواد المستخدمة في تصنيع الاقمار الصناعية مع اضافة تأثير الاكسجين الذري علي جميع هذه المواد من حيث التعرية والتآكل. كما توصي أيضا بالتطوير والتحسين المستمر لنماذج التنبؤ الرياضي لمكونات البيئة الفضائية والنشاط الشمسي. |
