| Summary, etc. | The purpose of this study was to detect the effect of Wrist Wheel on improving supination range of motion (ROM) and to detect which is more effective in controlling Supination ROM either Adhesive taping or Wrist Wheel. Forty-eight children with Unilateral Cerebral Palsy ranged in age from 6 to 8 years¸ selected from outpatient clinic of Faculty of Physical Therapy¸ Cairo University with degree of spasticity of 1 to 1+ according to Modified Ashworth scale and have limited forearm supination ROM. Patients were randomly assigned into 2 groups of equal number (twenty-four in each), Kinesiotaping (KT group) and Wrist Wheel (WW group). Patients on KT group were treated by a designed physical therapy program after forearm Kinesiotaping application, while children in WW group were treated by the same designed physical therapy program while using Wrist Wheel. Treatment program was conducted for one hour, three successive months at frequency of 3 sessions per week. Before the commencement and after the study completion forearm supination ROM was measured using digital goniometer and Shriners Hospital Upper Extremity scale was used to evaluate upper extremity functions in the affected upper limb. A statistically significant change was observed in supination range of motion and upper extremity functions in each group after treatment application when comparing before and post treatment mean values (P < 0.001). Also, a statistically significant change in supination range of motion and upper extremity functions was noticed when comparing after treatment results between both groups in favor to Wrist Wheel group |

| Summary, etc. | المقدمة: عادةً ما يعاني الأطفال المصابون بالشلل الدماغي النصفي من ضعف في وظيفة الطرف العلوي المصاب مع عدم القدرة علي لف الساعد للخارج ، وهذا يمكن أن يؤدي إلى صعوبات في استخدام الذراع والحد من وظيفة الطرف العلوي. الهدف: مقارنة بين تأثيرشريط الكينزو اللاصق وعجلة الرسغ على وظائف الطرف العلوي للأطفال المصابون بالشلل الدماغي النصفي. المرضى والأساليب: تم تقسيم ثمانية وأربعون طفلا مصابون بالشلل الدماغي تتراوح أعمارهم بين 6 و 8 سنوات بشكل عشوائي إلى مجموعتين متساويتين، مجموعة شريط الكينزو اللاصق: مشاركة أربعة وعشرون طفلاً تلقوا برنامج العلاج الطبيعي بالإضافة إلى تطبيق شريط الكينزو اللاصق ، مجموعة عجلة الرسغ: شارك فيها أربعة وعشرون طفلاً تلقوا نفس برنامج العلاج الطبيعي بالإضافة إلى تمرين عجلة الرسغ. للاختيار تم استخدام مقياس أشوورث ومقياس تصنيف القدرة اليدوية وللتقييم تم استخدام مقياس الزوايا وتقييم الطرف العلوي لمستشفي شرينرز، تم تحديد القياسات ووظائف الطرف العلوي في بداية العلاج وبعد 3 أشهر من العلاج. النتائج : أظهرت النتائج فرق غيرمؤثراحصائيا بين المعالجة المسبقة لمجموعة شريط الكينزو اللاصق وعجلة الرسغ، كما أشار إلى نتائج أفضل لمجموعة عجلة الرسغ عند مقارنتها بمجموعة شريط الكينزو اللاصق، كان هناك فرق كبيرفي العلاج اللاحق لمجموعة عجلة الرسغ بعد العلاج مقارنة بقبل العلاج، كان هناك فرق كبير في علاج ما بعد مجموعة عجلة الرسغ مقارنة بجموعة شريط الكينزو اللاصق. الخلاصة : شريط الكينزواللاصق وعجلة الرسغ يؤثرون بشكل ايجابى على تحسين استخدام الطرف العلوي المصاب ومع ذلك القياسات اظهرت ان عجلة الرسغ افضل من شريط الكينزو اللاصق فى تأثيره الإيجابي على تحسين وظائف الطرف العلوي المصاب فى الاطفال المصابون بالشلل الدماغي النصفى. |
