Summary, etc. | The skeleton is stabilized by the attached Musculo-ligamentous-fascial<br/>system, a tilt of any part of this interconnected structure may have a significant impact on<br/>the shape and dynamics of another part, not necessary in its proximity.<br/>Purpose: To investigate the effect of induced posterior pelvic tilt on static shoulder posture<br/>and the electromyographic activities of the scapular upward rotators (upper trapezius,<br/>lower trapezius, and serratus anterior) during arm elevation in subjects with rounded<br/>shoulder posture.<br/>Material and methods: This study was conducted on 30 subjects (26 males and 4 females)<br/>with rounded shoulder posture, their body mass index (BMI) was 23.5± 3.9 kg/m ^2, and<br/>their range of ages was 22.80± 3.2 years. They were examined by the main examiner in six<br/>experimental positions three of them were in habitual relaxed standing, at the first position,<br/>subjects were asked to upward elevate their arm, the second position was elevation while<br/>holding weight, in the third position, subjects were told to simultaneously elevate their arm<br/>and maximally rotate their hips and trunk ipsilaterally. The other three positions were the<br/>same but while induced posterior pelvic tilt (35:40%) of maximum. In all positions the<br/>Vicon Nexus 3D motion capture system recorded the pelvic and shoulder angles while the<br/>Noraxon Ultium EMG recorded the electrical activity of upper trapezius, lower trapezius,<br/>and serratus anterior in synchronization with the arm kinematics. Repeated measures<br/>analysis of variance within-subjects’ effects was used to analyze the effect of induced<br/>posterior pelvic tilt in the six experimental conditions while, paired t-tests were used to<br/>investigate the differences between (habitual relaxed position vs induced posterior pelvic<br/>tilt) in regard to their effect on the shoulder and pelvic postures.<br/>Results: Induced posterior pelvic tilt, (35:40%) of maximum posterior pelvic tilt resulted<br/>in a significant increase in upper trapezius, lower trapezius, and serratus anterior<br/>electromyographic activities; however, there were no detectable statistical changes on<br/>shoulder posture. (p>0.05).<br/>Conclusion: Changes in pelvic kinematic could alter scapular muscles activities, so<br/>comprehensive examination of pelvic posture is required in both preventive and treatment<br/>programs of shoulder complex injuries. Meanwhile, no significant effect was reported in<br/>shoulder posture. |

Summary, etc. | التحقيق في تأثير إمالة الحوض الخلفية المستحثة على وضعية الكتف الثابتة والأنشطة التخطيطية للكهربية للدوارات العلوية الكتفية شبه المنحرف العلوي، شبه المنحرف السفلي، والمسننة الأمامية أثناء رفع الذراع في الأشخاص ذوي وضعية الكتف المستديرة.<br/>الأدوات والأساليب: تم تقييم ثلاثين متطوعا 26 مشاركا من الذكور و4 الإناث مع كتف مستدير، متوسط أعمارهم 22.80±3.20، مؤشر كتلة الجسم 23.51 ± 3.9 لكل من وضعية الكتف والحوض باستخدام نظام التقاط الحركة ثلاثي الأبعاد المكون من 8 كاميرات (Vicon Nexus) الإصدار 2، أكسفورد، المملكة المتحدة، أنشطة تخطيط كهربية العضل للدوارات العلوية الكتفية شبه المنحرف العلوي، شبه المنحرف السفلي، والمسننة الأمامية. تم تسجيل القياسات في ستة ظروف تجريبية مختلفة أثناء ارتفاع الذراع. تم استخدام تحليل المقاييس المتكررة للتباين داخل تأثيرات الأشخاص لتحليل تأثير إمالة الحوض الخلفية المستحثة في الحالات التجريبية الستة بينما تم استخدام اختبارات t المزدوجة للتحقيق في الاختلافات بين وضع الاسترخاء المعتاد مقابل إمالة الحوض الخلفية المستحثة فيما يتعلق بتأثيرها على وضعيات الكتف والحوض. <br/>النتائج: أدى ميل الحوض الخلفي المستحث (40:35٪) من أقصى ميل الحوض الخلفي إلى زيادة كبيرة في أنشطة تخطيط كهربية العضل العلوي وشبه المنحرف السفلي والأمامي المسننة. ومع ذلك، لم تكن هناك تغييرات إحصائية يمكن اكتشافها على وضعية الكتف.
