| Summary, etc. | Managing and handling heterogeneous data locally on sensor boards and regionally on local servers using fog and centrally on cloud servers acts as an enabler for giving IoT an excellent value even if it faces many complexities and challenges. This work studies these aspects as well as the data communication among large numbers of devices, and the massive datasets, they generate. Data analysis on such a big volume of data is a difficult task given the lack of any standard. In this work, a definition of IoT-based data will be established to determine the available data features and characteristics such as, its syntax, semantics, semiotics and terminologies. This work also points to the need for innovative approaches to deal with problems such as: the difficulty to cope with wide range of data, the limited processing capabilities on IoT edge nodes and the heterogeneity of linked nodes, varied data rates, and formats. The Industrial IoT involves real-time analysis of data generated from interconnected sensor devices. Real-time data streaming adds an extra dimension of complexity and makes data heterogeneity more challenging. Fog of Things (FoT) platform is proposed as a solution for all these challenges. FoT platform has been implemented in both simulated and physical environment. This work includes actual physical implementation of a representative integrated IoT-Edge-Fog-Cloud setup(s), allowing the practical assessment of the proposed solution in different architectures. |

| Summary, etc. | تنتج أجهزة استشعار إنترنت الأشياء (IoT) كمية هائلة من البيانات غير المتجانسة في تدفقات البيانات. يحتاج هذا الحجم الكبير من البيانات إلى جهد كبير لإدارتها وتنظيمها وحفظها ومعالجتها لإنتاج معلومات فعالة والاستفادة منها على أفضل وجه. يعد استخراج المعرفة القيمة من هذه البيانات غير المتجانسة حاجة ملحة للغاية. قبل بضع سنوات ، كان اتخاذ قرارات دقيقة بناءً على هذه البيانات أمرًا لا يمكن تصوره.<br/>تعمل إدارة بيانات إنترنت الأشياء على المستوى المحلي على لوحات الاستشعار وإقليميا على الخوادم المحلية باستخدام الحوسبة الضبابية ومركزيًا على الخوادم السحابية كعامل تمكين لإعطاء إنترنت الأشياء قيمة ممتازة حتى لو كان يواجه العديد من التعقيدات والتحديات. تركز هذه الدراسة علي هذه الجوانب بالإضافة إلى اتصالات البيانات بين عدد كبير من الأجهزة والمجموعات الهائلة من البيانات التي تولدها.<br/>يعد تحليل البيانات على هذا الحجم الكبير من البيانات مهمة صعبة نظرًا لعدم وجود أي معيار. في هذا العمل ، سيتم وضع تعريف للبيانات المستندة إلى إنترنت الأشياء لتحديد ميزات وخصائص البيانات المتاحة مثل النحو والدلالات والمعاني والمصطلحات. يشير هذا العمل أيضًا إلى الحاجة إلى مناهج مبتكرة للتعامل مع المشكلات مثل: صعوبة التعامل مع مجموعة واسعة من البيانات ، وقدرات المعالجة المحدودة على عُقد حافة إنترنت الأشياء ، وتباين العُقد المرتبطة ومعدلات البيانات و التنسيقات المتنوعة.<br/>يتضمن إنترنت الأشياء الصناعي تحليل البيانات في الوقت الفعلي التي يتم إنشاؤها من أجهزة الاستشعار المترابطة. يضيف تدفق البيانات في الوقت الفعلي بعدًا إضافيًا من التعقيد ويجعل تباين البيانات أكثر تحديًا. تم اقتراح منصة Fog of Things (FoT) كحل لجميع هذه التحديات. وقد تم تنفيذ منصة FoT على كل من البيئات التالية: بيئة المحاكاة الافتراضية والبيئة الفعلية. يتضمن هذا العمل تنفيذًا فعليًا لإعدادات تمثل IoT-Edge-Fog-Cloud متكاملة ، مما يسمح بالتقييم العملي للحل المقترح في مختلف البنيات.<br/> |
