| Summary, etc. | Background: The Jebsen Taylor Hand Function Test (JTHFT) is a non-diagnostic assessment scale for measuring hand and upper limb dexterity. It is commonly used worldwide to evaluate conditions such as muscular dystrophy, stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, and rheumatoid arthritis. The purpose of this study is to assess the validity and reliability of the Arabic version of the Jebsen Taylor Hand Function test in Egyptian patients who have undergone flexor tendon repair. <br/>Purpose of Study: To assess the validity and reliability of the Arabic version of the Jebsen Taylor Hand Function test in Egyptian patients who have undergone flexor tendon repair.<br/>Subjects and Methods: The study included a hundred patients (61 males and 39 females) with flexor tendon repair surgeries with ages ranging between (18 to 40) years who recruited from Cairo University educational hospitals and outpatient clinics of the faculty of physical therapy, Cairo University. <br/>Results: The test was given to 100 patients with post-flexor tendon repair. Cronbach’s alpha reported a value of 0.945 and 0.924 for both Non-dominant and Dominant hands respectively. Intra- and inter-rater reliability were evaluated with a subgroup of 100 patients. Intra-class correlation coefficients ranged from 0.968 to 0.978 in the dominant and non-dominant hands.<br/>Conclusion: The present study supports the use of the Arabic version of the JTHFT as a measure of hand functionality in post-flexor tendon repair patients. It is an important tool for Arabic professionals, and it can be useful both in clinical practice to evaluate improvement after rehabilitation treatments and for research in hand rehabilitation. |

| Summary, etc. | الخلفية: اختبار جايبسن تايلور وظائف اليد هو مقياس تقييم غير تشخيصي لقياس براعة اليد والطرف العلوي. يشيع استخدامه في جميع أنحاء العالم لتقييم حالات مثل ضمور العضلات والسكتة الدماغية وإصابة الحبل الشوكي ومرض الشلل الرعاش ومتلازمة النفق الرسغي والتهاب المفاصل الروماتويدي. الغرض من هذه الدراسة هو تقييم صحة وموثوقية النسخة العربية لإختبار جايبسن تايلور لوظائف اليد بعد إصلاح الأوتار القابضة لاصابع اليد للمرضى المصريين.<br/>الغرض من الدراسة: تحديد صلاحية وموثوقية النسخة العربية من اختبار جيبسن تايلور لوظائف اليد في المرضى الذين خضعوا لجراحات إصلاح الأوتار القابضة لاصابع اليد. <br/>الطريقة والأساليب:: شملت الدراسة مائة مريض (61 ذكر و39 انثى) خضعوا لجراحات إصلاح الأوتار القابضة لاصابع اليد تتراوح أعمارهم بين (18 إلى 40) سنة. تم تعيينهم من المستشفيات التعليمية بجامعة القاهرة والعيادات الخارجية بكلية العلاج الطبيعي بجامعة القاهرة.<br/>النتائج: تم إجراء الاختبار ل 100 مريض بعد اجراء إصلاح وتر قابض لاصابع اليد. سجلت ألفا كرونباخ قيمة 0.945 و 0.924 لكل من الأيدي غير المهيمنة والمهيمنة على التوالي. تم تقييم الموثوقية داخل وبين المقيمين مع مجموعة فرعية من 100 مريض. تراوحت معاملات الارتباط داخل الفئة من 0.968 إلى 0.978 في الأيدي المهيمنة وغير المهيمنة<br/>الاستتتاجات: تدعم الدراسة الحالية استخدام النسخة العربية من جايبسن تايلور كمقياس لوظائف اليد في مرضى بعد إصلاح الأوتار القابضة لاصابع اليد. إنها أداة مهمة للمهنيين العرب ، ويمكن أن تكون مفيدة في كل من الممارسة السريرية لتقييم التحسن بعد علاجات إعادة التأهيل وللبحث في إعادة تأهيل اليد |
