| Summary, etc. | The present thesis examines three testimonial narratives of minority women. First, Unorthodox: The Scandalous Rejection of My Hasidic Roots (2012), by the Jewish American-born, German writer, Deborah Feldman, narrates her story of the struggle to free herself from the oppressive patriarchal life of the Hasidic community of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York, US. Second, Beneath the Tamarind Tree (2019), by the British journalist Isha Sesay, covers the story of the kidnapping of the Christian Nigerian schoolgirls by Boko Haram. Third, The Last Girl: My Story of Captivity and My Fight against The Islamic State (2017), by the Yazidi Iraqi Nadia Murad, narrates her story of kidnapping amongst other Yazidi girls by ISIS. The study examines the selected works which intersect with the literary genre testimonio as resistance literature of feminist intervention that counters intersectional oppression and the geopolitical power structures exercised by fundamentalism, extremism, and terrorism, demanding human rights. Utilizing an intersectional, transnational feminist approach, the thesis thus explores such power structures that are met by the resistant tactics of the selected minority women in their journeys towards agency. |

| Summary, etc. | يسعي هذا البحث إلى دراسة ثلاثة نصوص من سرديات الشهادة عن نساء الأقليات. أولًا، "غير تقليدية: الرفض الفاضح لجذوري الحسيدية"، (2012)، وهي سيرة ذاتية بقلم الكاتبة الأمريكية الألمانية اليهودية ديبورا فيلدمان، عن قصة مقاومتها من أجل تحرير نفسها من السلطة الأبوية القمعية للمجتمع الحسيدي بويليامزبرج، بروكلين، نيويورك، الولايات المتحدة. ثانيًا، "تحت شجرة التمر الهندي"، (2019)، وهي بيوغرافيا للصحفية البريطانية إيشا سيساي عن اختطاف بوكو حرام لطالبات المدارس النيجيريات المسيحيات. ثالثًا، "الفتاة الأخيرة: قصتي في الأسر وصراعي ضد الدولة الإسلامية"، (2017) وهي سيرة ذاتية بقلم العراقية الأيزيدية نادية مراد، حيث تروي قصة اختطافها مع فتيات إيزيديات أخريات من قبل داعش. ستفحص الدراسة الأعمال المختارة كأعمال مقاومة للقهر التقاطعي. سيتبع هذا البحث النهج النسوي العابر للقوميات في تحليله لتكتيكيات المقاومة التي تتبعها نساء الأقليات خلال رحلتهن نحو التحرر والتمكين. |
