| Summary, etc. | The main objectives of this study were to: 1) investigate the actor-related variables<br/>that would affect rural people’s participation in a grassroots social innovation (SI)<br/>initiative that has evolved and sustained since the 1980s, 2) identify the change in the<br/>respondents’ degree of environmental needs satisfaction before and after the emergence<br/>of the SI, 3) determine whether this degree of change varies according to their different<br/>attributes, and 4) identify the possible actor-related variables that would predict this<br/>degree of change.<br/>This study is based on the quantitative research approach which used the<br/>socioeconomic sample survey and applied a pretested structured questionnaire to a<br/>random sample of 221 household heads in two geographically attached villages in<br/>Menoufia Governorate in Egypt.<br/>The results revealed that the degree of participation was positively correlated with<br/>age, socioeconomic status, degree of geographic mobility, degree of sense of community,<br/>the perceived attributes of the SI initiative, and attitudes towards the SI initiative.<br/>Negative correlations were found for the degree of needs satisfaction before the<br/>emergence of the SI initiative and the degree of social loafing. Moreover, 60.8% of the<br/>variance in the degree of participation could be explained by the variances in the studied<br/>independent variables.<br/>Findings also revealed that there was a significant difference in the degree of the<br/>environmental needs satisfaction before and after the emergence of the SI initiative, with<br/>the initiative contributing with a percentage of 81% in the variance of this change.<br/>Finally, the degree of change in needs satisfaction was positively correlated with<br/>age, Family size, perceived attributes of the SI, attitude towards the SI, degree of sense<br/>of community, and the degree of participation in the SI. Negative correlation was<br/>observed for the degree of social loafing tendency. Only four variables (degree of<br/>participation, age, family size, and sense of community) were concluded as significant<br/>predictors of this change and explained 18.7% of the variance in the degree of change. |

| Summary, etc. | تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على العوامل الاقتصادية والاجتماعية المتعلقة بالفاعلين التي تؤثر على مشاركة المجتمع المحلي في مبادرة الابتكار الاجتماعي التي أطلقها ودعمها سكان قريتي كفر وهب وكفر عبده بمحافظة المنوفية منذ الثمانينات، وكذلك التحقق من تأثير المبادرة على درجة إشباع احتياجات المبحوثين البيئية، وأخيراً التعرف على نسبة إسهام خصائص المبحوثين في تفسير التباين في التغير في درجة إشباع تلك الاحتياجات.<br/> أُجريت الدراسة على عينة عشوائية قوامها 221 مبحوث من أرباب الأسر بالقريتين، وتم جمع البيانات الميدانية في النصف الثاني من عام 2021م باستخدام استمارة استبيان بالمقابلة الشخصية تم اختبارها مسبقاً. وتبين من نتائج اختبار الإنحدار المتعدد أن 60.9% من التباين في درجة المشاركة في أنشطة الابتكار الاجتماعي للمبحوثين يُمكن تفسيره بالتغير في 1) خصائص المبحوثين، 2) اتجاهات المبحوثين نحو مبادرة الابتكار الاجتماعي، 3) إدراك المبحوثين لخصائص مبادرة الابتكار الاجتماعي، بالإضافة إلى 4) درجة إشباع الإحتياجات قبل تنفيذ مبادرة الابتكار الاجتماعي، 5) درجة التخاذل الاجتماعي، واللذان يؤثران- بعكس باقي العوامل- سلباً علي المشاركة.<br/>كما أوضحت النتائج وجود فرق معنوي بين درجة إشباع احتياجات المبحوثين قبل وبعد تنفيذ المبادرة حيث تساهم المبادرة بنسبة 81٪ في هذا التغير. وأشارت النتائج إلى وجود ارتباطات معنوية إيجابية بين درجة التغير وكل من: السن، حجم الأسرة، درجة الانتماء للمجتمع، الاتجاه نحو المبادرة، إدراك المبحوثين لخصائص الابتكارالاجتماعي، ودرجة المشاركة في المبادرة، بينما ظهرت علاقة معنوية عكسية مع درجة التخاذل الاجتماعي. <br/>أوضحت نتائح تحليل الانحدار المتعدد التدريجي أن هناك أربع متغيرات مجتمعه ساهمت بشكل معنوي في تفسير 18.7% من التباين في درجة التغير، وهى درجة المشاركة في المبادرة، والعمر، وعدد أفراد الأسرة، ودرجة الانتماء للمجتمع.<br/>وبالرغم من أن مشاركة المجتمع المحلى تُعد من العوامل الأساسية لنجاح مبادرات الابتكارالاجتماعي، إلا أن عدداً محدوداً من الدراسات - بحسب ما توفر للباحثة من معلومات- تركزعلى الخصائص الاقتصادية والاجتماعية للريفين أنفسهم والتي من شأنها أن تكون لها علاقة بمشاركتهم وتفاعلهم مع هذا النوع من المبادرات، والتى يمكن بدورها أن تضمن استدامة التنمية في المجتمع الريفي المصري من خلال انعكاساتها على تغير السياق المؤسسي في المجتمع المحلي. لذا تعود أهمية تلك الدراسة إلى محاولتها توجيه الاهتمام لبحث مقومات استدامة جهود التنمية الريفية من خلال مبادرات الابتكار الاجتماعي وخصائص الريفين أنفسهم التي تحثهم علي المشاركة فيها.<br/> |
