Summary, etc. | Fixed-wing eVTOL are aerial vehicles with electric powertrains capable of both hover and fast wing-borne forward flight. The high power consumption of the electric powertrains during vertical flight is contradicting with the design limitations on using high energy density batteries. One of the main methods to resolve this conflict is by minimizing the power losses in the battery pack by minimizing the imbalance in cells.<br/>The problem of charge mismatching between various battery cells is highlighted. Active charge balancing is presented together with the implementation on the cell level via the utilization of a flyback DC-DC converter. The Modeling of the converter and the adaptive control equations are derived. To ensure the stability of the controller, Lyapunov candidate functions were defined.<br/>Active balancing gives some promising results in range enhancement, which is an extremely critical point in electric VTOL applications. Any weight loss or range extension will result in minimizing flight costs and enhance its mission settings, giving it a competitive edge in the market. |

Summary, etc. | طائرات ال VTOL هي مركبات غير مسيرة وتحتوي على أنظمة كهربية تمكنها من القيام بالتحليق العمودي والطيران الشراعي. الاستهلاك الزائد للطاقة أثناء الإقلاع يتعارض مع قيود التصميم الموضوعة على استخدام بطاريات بسعة تخزينية مرتفعة. أحد أهم الطرق لحل هذا الإشكال هو عن طريق تقليل الاختلافات في الطاقة المخزنة في خلايا البطارية وبعضها البعض. لقد تمت الإشارة للإشكال في اختلافات مستوى الشحن بين خلايا البطارية المتعددة، وتم عرض التوازن النشط للشحنات وتطبيقاته على مستوى الخلايا باستخدام مغير الرجوع. تم استنتاج معادلات المغير بالإضافة إلى معادلات المتحكم المتوائم، ومن أجل ضمان استقرار المتحكم تم توصيف معادلات ليابنوف. التوازن النشط أسفر عن نتائج في إطالة مدى الطيران؛ حيث أي تقليل في الوزن أو زيادة مدى الطيران سينعكس على تقليل تكلفة رحلات الطيران، مما يضيف لها ميزة تنافسية في الأسواق. |
