| Summary, etc. | This thesis presents a literature review of Voltage Controlled-Oscilator (VCO) basics and fundamentals. Then, a survey about defected ground structure (DGS), CMOS, and BICMOS technologies is illustrated, respectively. Following that, a survey from the state of the art for the different techniques to enhance the performance of the VCO. Finally, two VCO designs for millimeter-wave applications are proposed where the results are compared to other designs in literature. |
