| Summary, etc. | Alkaline ionized water as well as nutritional supplement may affect the progression of hypertension with pregnancy. It considered one of non-pharmacological methods that have been proposed to prevent and mange preeclampsia. The aim of current study was to examine the impact of alkaline ionized water and nutritional supplement on progression of pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH). Randomized control trail (RCT) design was used. A total random sample of 110 pregnant mothers with hypertension were recruited according to main inclusion criteria using sealed opaque envelops technique. Subjects were assigned randomly to three groups, a study group (A) using alkaline ionized water (N 30), the study group (B) having nutritional supplement (N 30); and control group (C) receiving conventional protocol (N50). Setting was antenatal clinic at Kaser Al-Aini University Hospital. Two tools were used for data collection: a structured interviewing questionnaire and assessment follow up tool. Results; there was a statistical significant difference between three groups regarding to systolic & diastolic blood pressure (p=0.000), urine excretion of Sodium (Na); HCT (P=0.00); PH (P=0.00); blood electrolytes such as Ca, Mg, Zinc (p=.00). there was a statistical significant difference between three groups regarding albuminurea (p=0.00) and edema (p= 0.00); BMI (P=.015).The study concluded that, using alkaline water showed significant improvement of signs of preeclampsia as decreased blood pressure, decreased blood viscosity, decreased hemoconcentration, increased urinary excretion of Na, increased level of electrolytes Ca, Mg, zinc, decreased body mass index,, decreased level of edema. The study recommended that alkaline ionized water as well as nutritional supplement are good sources of Ca, Mg, Zinc however alkaline water was found to be more effective in controlling progression of preeclampsia and should be added as nutritional guidelines for preventing and managing of preeclampsia |

| Summary, etc. | امراض الضغط لدى السيدات الحوامل من الامراض الشائعة ومعدل الاصابة بهذا المرض حوالى 10% بين السيدات الحوامل على مستوى العالم .ومن اكثرها خطورة والتى قد تسوء من حالة الام ومن الممكن ان تؤدى الوفاه بنسب عاليه وذلك لما تتعرض له الام خلال فتره الحمل من التغيرات الفسيولوجيه ومازال التعامل مع السيدات المصابات بامراض الضغط من التحديات التى قد تواجة الفريق الصحى من الأطباء وفريق التمريض القائمين على تقديم الرعاية الصحيه للأم الحامل أثناء الولادة، انتشرت مؤخرا المياه القلوية فى مصر وذلك بعد ظهورها فى بعض الدول الأجنبية، ثم انتقلت إلى الدول العربية ، ومؤخرًا فى مصر، الفرق الأساسي بين الماء العادي والقلوى هو المستوى الهيدروجيني بها، فالماء القلوي أقل حمضية نسبيًا من ماء الشرب العادي، في حين أن الرقم الهيدروجيني للمياه الطبيعية هو 7 ، فإن المياه القلوية لها درجة الحموضة من 8 أو 9. استبدال مياه الشرب العادية بمياه قلوية يمكن أن يمنع ويعالج العديد من المضاعفات الصحية إلى جانب إبطاء عملية الشيخوخة، لأنه يزيد من معدل امتصاص المواد الغذائية في الجسم مما يعزز عملية التمثيل الغذائيامع تأكيدات البعض بفوائدها الصحية المختلفة ومن الطرق الجديدة المستخدمه لرفع نسبه المعادن وتقليل ضغط الدم المرتفع وتقليل حدوث المضاعفات المصاحبه له استخدام هذا الماء القلوى والذى يحتوى على نسبه عاليه من المعادن مثل الكالسيوم والماغنسيوم وتزيد من ادارار البول والتخلص من المواد السامه ز ومع انتشارها على مستوى العالم نشرت عدد من الدراسات التى أكدت أهمية هذا النوع من المياه فى علاج العديد من الأمراض مثل ارتفاع ضغط الدم ، فضلا عن أنها تعمل على إزالة السموم من الجسم، وذلك لاحتوائها على مواد مضادة للأكسدة كما أنها تعالج الأمراض المزمنة |
