| Summary, etc. | 51 subjects of both genders, Three groups were made with 17 patients for each group, the first group received laser acupuncture in addition traditional exercises for 3 sessions per week for four weeks. while the second received acupoint focused ultrasound in addition to traditional exercise for 3 sessions per week for four weeks and the third group received only traditional exercise for 3 sessions per week for four weeks All patients were evaluated before and after the treatment using visual analogue scale, digital goniometer, Western Ontario and McMaster Universities osteoarthritis index (WOMAC). application of laser acupuncture conjunction with traditional exercises for patients with KOA was more effective in pain relief and improvement of knee joint ROM and functional ability than acupuncture focused ultrasound conjunction with exercise and exercises alone. |

| Summary, etc. | شارك في هذه الدراسة 51 شخصًا من كلا الجنسين ، تم عمل ثلاث مجموعات ، 17مريضا لكل مجموعة، تلقت المجموعة الأولى الوخز بالإبر بالليزر بالإضافة إلى تمارين تقليدية، بينما تلقت المجموعة الثانيه الموجات فوق الصوتية المركزة على نقاط الوخز بالإضافة إلى تمارين التقليدية ،تلقت المجموعة الثالثة تمارين التقليدية فقط وجميع المجموعات تلقت العلاج لمدة 3 جلسات في الأسبوع لمدة أربعة أسابيع تم تقييم جميع المرضى قبل وبعد العلاج باستخدام المقياس التناظري البصري ومقياس الزوايا الرقمي ومؤشر التهاب المفاصل في جامعة ويسترن أونتاريو وجامعة ماكماستر. كان تطبيق الوخز بالإبر بالليزر بالإضافه الى التمارين الرياضية للمرضى الذين يعانون من خشونة الركبة أكثر فاعلية في تخفيف الآلام وتحسين نطاق حركة مفصل الركبة والقدرة الوظيفية من الموجات فوق الصوتية التي تركز على الوخز بالإبر بالإضافه الى التمارين والتمارين وحدها. |
