Summary, etc. | Several researchers developed different models to predict the shear strength of the beam-column connection under seismic-type loading using different techniques. However, most of these models were either developed using limited datasets and/or limited parameters or too complex to be practically used in design. To address this issue, this study presents multigene genetic programming (MGGP), a form of artificial intelligence techniques, to develop a new simple/elegant near accurate shear strength prediction model for exterior beam column joint (EBCJ) subjected to cyclic loading. Using mechanics and previous work findings, the affecting parameters were selected and used to develop the proposed model. The validity of the proposed model is then evaluated using different measures, then compared with the other prediction models available in the literature and showed a better performance with a significantly higher accuracy. |

Summary, etc. | قام العديد من الباحثين باستنتاج معادلة رياضية للتنبؤ بقيمة مقاومة القص لوصلة الكمرة والعمود تحت تأثير أحمال الزلازل باستخدام العديد من الطرق المختلفة. أغلب هذه المعادلات تم استنتاجها اما باستخدام عدد محدود من التجارب السابقة أو بعدد محدود من العوامل المؤثرة أو تكون معادلة معقدة وغير قابلة للتطبيق بسهولة في الحياة العملية. للتغلب على هذه العقبات تم استخدام البرمجة الجينية متعددة الجينات، وهي فرع من فروع الذكاء الاصطناعي لاستنتاج وتحديد معادلة دقيقة وسهلة الاستخدام للتنبؤ بقيمة مقاومة القص لوصلة الكمرة والعمود الخارجية المعرضة لأحمال دورية. تم استخدام العوامل المؤثرة على مقاومة القص في استنتاج المعادلة بناءً على أساسيات وقواعد الميكانيكا ونتائج الأبحاث السابقة. تم تقييم هذه المعادلة ومقارنتها مع المعادلات المستنتجة سابقا وأظهرت هذه المعادلة نتائج أفضل ودقة أعلى من المعادلات الأخرى. |
