| Summary, etc. | Background: Physical therapy provides variable treatments for upper- cross syndrome (UCS). However, after searching in the literature, we couldn’t locate any studies investigating the fascial release technique performed along the upper track of deep front fascial line in UCS patients. Objectives: To investigate the effect of release of upper track of deep front fascial line and corrective exercise versus corrective exercise alone on subjects with UCS. Design: Blind Randomized controlled trial. Methods: Forty subjects with UCS were randomized to two groups: release of upper track of deep front fascial line and corrective exercise or corrective exercise only group, with 8 intervention sessions over 4 weeks. Primary outcomes included the neck disability index (NDI) and craniovertebral angle (CVA). Secondary outcomes included thoracic kyphosis angle and chest expansion. Results: Between group analysis at pre-treatment, there was statistically insignificant difference between both groups as p>0.05 while post-treatment there was statistically significant difference between both groups in NDI with MD = -6.15 and Ƞ2 = 0.67, CVA MD = 5.48 and Ƞ2 = 0.36, kyphosis angle MD = -2.41 and Ƞ2 = 0.41, upper chest expansion MD =1.4 and Ƞ2 = 0.38 and lower chest expansion MD =2.35 and Ƞ2 =0.57. Within group analysis, there was a statistically significant difference between pre- and post-treatment in all variables in both groups (p<0.05). |

| Summary, etc. | الخلفية: يوفر العلاج الطبيعي علاجات متنوعة للمتلازمة العلوية المتقاطعة، ومع ذلك لا توجد دراسة يتم فيها تنفيذ تقنية تحريرالمسار العلوي لخط اللفافة العميق الأمامي على المتلازمة العلوية المتقاطعة.هدف البحث: دراسة تأثير إطلاق المسار العلوي للخط اللفافي الأمامي العميق والتمارين العلاجية مقابل التمارين العلاجية وحدها على الأشخاص الذين يعانون من المتلازمة العلوية المتقاطعة.<br/>خطة الدراسة: <br/>أ.الأشخاص تم أختيار أربعون مريضاً من الجنسين تتراوح أعمارهم ما بين 18إلي 40 عاما يعانون من المتلازمة العلوية المتقاطعة.<br/>ب.الطريقة: تم توزيع المرضى عشوائيا إلى مجموعتين متساويتين: مجموعة الدراسة (1) والمجموعة الضابطة (2). وقد تلقت مجموعة الدراسة (1) العلاج اليدوي لتحرير المسار العلوي لخط اللفافة العميق الأمامي بالأضافة إلى التمارين العلاجية، بينما تلقت المجموعة (2) التمارين العلاجية فقط. وكان البرنامج يطبق مرتين أسبوعيا لمدة أربعة أسابيع لكلا المجموعتين.<br/>النتائج: أظهرت النتائج وجود دلالات أحصائية واضحة لكلا المجموعتين مع وجود تحسنا ملحوظا لصالح مجموعة الدراسة (1). <br/>الاستنتاج: أدي إضافة تحرير المسار العلوي للخط اللفافي الأمامي العميق الأمامي إلى التمرين العلاجية إلى وضع الرقبة وتحدب الظهر في المرضى الذين يعانون من المتلازمة العلوية المتقاطعة. وتوصي بدمج هذه التقنية في إعادة تأهيل المرضى الذين يعانون من متلازمة التقاطع العلوي. |
