| Summary, etc. | In this chapter, the summary of the study was presented to <br/>compare between the night time Mobiderm sleeve versus the traditional <br/>compression sleeve in reduction of post mastectomy lymphedema.<br/>The purpose of this study was to assess which is efficient on the <br/>upper limb lymphedema the traditional compression sleeve or the night <br/>time Mobiderm garment. The need for this study came from the rarity of <br/>related researches about role of different modalities in improving the <br/>upper limb after mastectomy that cause in major cases removal of the <br/>lymph nodes that is going to lead lymphedema where that swelling in the <br/>limb obstructed the movement of the arm.<br/>Sixty post mastectomy female patients was enrolled in this study . <br/>Thirty patients were received night time Mobiderm sleeve and the other <br/>thirty patients were received traditional compression sleeve were <br/>recruited in this study . They were selected from Kasr EL Ani in Cairo . <br/>Their aged ranged from 35 to 55 years . <br/>They were classified into two equal groups in numbers : <br/>Group (A) Mobiderm sleeve group: <br/>This group was composed of thirty patients suffering from postmastectomy lymphedema. They received nighttime Mobiderm sleeve <br/>daily for 3 weeks as a total period of treatment, in addition to (manual <br/>lymphatic drainage therapy one session per day for 30 min, exercise <br/>therapy and skin care<br/>145<br/>Group (B) Traditional compression sleeve group:<br/>In this group, was composed of thirty patients suffering from <br/>post-mastectomy lymphedema. They received traditional compression <br/>sleeve daily for 3 weeks at day time for 15 hours as a total period of <br/>treatment, in addition to (manual therapy one session per day for 30 min, <br/>exercise therapy and skin care).<br/>All patients were evaluated pre and post 1, post 2 of treatment <br/>application. <br/>The evaluation procedures were achieved through their daily <br/>activities. Through upper extremity girth measurement to see the <br/>circumference, and the goniometry procedure to measure the range of the <br/>upper limb motion . The controlled data pre, post, and post 2 were <br/>statistically compared and analyzed. <br/>According to the reports and researches of the other investigators <br/>in the field related to the present study , we can claimed that management <br/>of lymphedema with the night time Mobiderm sleeve which is easily <br/>applied exhibited continued improvement and a better control of edema <br/>and that the traditional compression sleeve also cause progression of <br/>lymphedema but in less extent . |

| Summary, etc. | شاركت ستون مريضة ممن لديهم وذمة لمفية ثانوية بعد استئصال الثدي في هذه الدراسة. تم تقسيم المرضى بشكل عشوائي إلى مجموعتين متساويتين. المجموعة (أ) تلقوا شراب الموبيديرم ليلاً يومياً لمدة 3 أسابيع كفترة علاج إجمالية ، بالإضافة إلى (علاج التصريف اللمفاوي اليدوي جلسة واحدة يومياً لمدة 30 دقيقة ، علاج بالتمارين الرياضية والعناية بالبشرة). والمجموعة (ب) تلقوا الشراب التقليدى يوميًا نهارًا لمدة 15 ساعة لمدة 3 أسابيع كفترة علاج إجمالية ، بالإضافة إلى (علاج يدوي جلسة واحدة يوميًا لمدة 30 دقيقة ، علاج بالتمارين الرياضية والعناية بالبشرة). أنتج شراب الموبيدرم الليلي تحسنًا كبيرًا موضوعيًا في الوذمة اللمفاوية الثانوية بعد استئصال الثدي أكثر من الشراب الضاغط التقليدي.<br/><br/> |
