Summary, etc. LCDRs depend on WANs and GPS, which are a challenge since both are vulnerable to cyberattacks. Attackers may use FDI to tamper with the signals sent from one line terminal to the LCDR, causing the LCDR to make the incorrect decision. This wrong decision may disconnect a healthy line or fail to trip a faulty line, seriously harming the system. This thesis proposes two techniques to ensure that the trip order is sent by the LCDR only when there is a real fault. In the first technique, after the LCDR is triggered, it evaluates the data received from the other terminal by using the local instantaneous voltage and current measurements. The second is based on sending a signal of an encrypted predefined value. Manipulation of this signal is a sign of intrusion. Both techniques can be implemented in LCDRs to detect cyberattacks on LCDRs and ensure optimum dependability.

Summary, etc. مرحلات التيار التفاضلية تعتمد علي شبكة اتصالات واسعة النطاق وتعتمد أيضًا علي نظام تحديد الموقع العالمي مما يمثل تحدي حيث يجعلها عرضة للهجمات السيبرانية. فمنفذ الهجوم قد يتلاعب بالإشارات المُرسلة من إحدي نهايتي الخط الي مرحل التيار الكهربي عند النهاية الأخري له مما يؤدي إلي اتخاذ قرار خاطئ بفصل خط سليم أو عدم فصل خط به عطل مما يسبب ضررًا بليغًا بالنظام. هذه الرسالة تقدم طريقتين لتدعيم المنطق المشغل لمرحل التيار التفاضلي للتأكيد علي تفعيل أمر الفصل في حالة وجود عطل حقيقي فقط. ففي الطريقة الاولي يتم حساب القيم اللحظية للجهد والتيار الكهربي عند المحطة الموجود بها نظام الوقاية لتقييم القيم القادمة من النهاية البعيدة وذلك عند الشعور بوجود عطل بينما تعتمد الطريقة الاخري علي إرسال إشارة مشفرة حيث يدل التغير في هذه القيمة علي وجود تلاعب. كلتا الطريقتين يمكن إضافتهما إلي مرحل التيار لكشف وجود التلاعب بالبيانات وتحقيق الاعتمادية المطلوبة.
