| Summary, etc. | Background: Non-specific low back pain is considered as a worldwide disorder that has significant negative economic impact, where both micro-currents, and cupping therapy carries growing potential evidence for beneficial management. Purpose: To compare effect of microcurrent with wet cupping significantly on non-specific low back pain in overweight patients. Method: Forty overweight elderly male participants suffering non-specific low back pain from military rehabilitation center in Agouza, their age range from 65 to 75 years old, also their body mass index ranges from 25 to 29.9 kg/ cm2, were randomly divided into Group A received wet cupping therapy 1 session/week along eight weeks and Group B received micro-current stimulation 3 sessions/week along eight weeks. Result: No significance difference in demographic features and all outcome measures were revealed pretreatment. A significant increase in lumbar ROM in both groups post versus pretreatment was revealed. While, significant differences post treatment between groups were revealed. Also, a significant increase in pressure pain threshold post versus pretreatment was revealed in both groups. A significant increase in quality-of-life level post versus pretreatment with percentage of change 20.06% for group A and 27.13% in group B. Conclusion: Both microcurrent and wet cupping are valuable with superiority for wet cupping in terms of lumbar sagittal ROM and pressure pain threshold so, cupping therapy could be considered as a therapeutic intervention for non-specific low back pain in overweight elderly patients |

| Summary, etc. | الخلفية العلمية: يعد آلام أسفل الظهرغير المحدد منتشراً وله العديد من التبعات السلبية ما يؤثر علي جودة الحياة خاصة لدي كبار السن البدناء. كما تعد الحجامة الرطبة من الوسائل العلاجية التفضيلية وكذلك تيار الميكروكرنت علاجاً فعالاً حال تنفيذه علي نقاط الإبر الصينية لتخفيف الألم وتحسين الأداء الوظيفي لدي مرضي أسفل الظهر غير المحدد. من كبار السن البدناء <br/>الغرض: تم إجراء الدراسة لتقييم تأثير الميكروكرنت مقابل الحجامة الرطبة على ألم أسفل الظهرغير المحدد من كبار السن البدناء. إجراءات الدراسة: أجريت الدراسة علي أربعين مريض مسن يعانون من ألام أسفل الظهرغير المحدد من كبار السن البدناء؛ تم انتخابهم من مركز تأهيل العجوزة العسكري يتراوح أعمارهم من 65-75 عاماً، ومؤشر الكتلة الجسدية 25-29.9 كيلوجرام للمتر المربع، وتم تقسيمهم عشوائيا لمجموعتين متساويتين الأولي خضعوا للحجامة الرطبة مرة واحدة إسبوعيا علي مدي ثمانية أسابيع، بينما المجموعة الثانية تلقوا الميكروكرنت بمعدل ثلاث جلسات إسبوعياً علي مدي ثمانية أسابيع- وكلا المجموعتين عن الفترة من يناير 2022 حتي مارس 2023. وتم تقييم المؤشرات الديموجرافية وقياس مدي حركة الأساسي للفقرات القطنية وكذا ألام الضغط الموضعية وكذلك مؤشر جودة الحياة لجميع المشاركين في كلا المجموعتين وتبعه تحليل إحصائي تفصيلي. النتيجة: لم يتبين وجود فروقاً ذات دلالة إحصائية بأعمار وأطوال وأوزان أو مؤشرات الكتلة الجسدية (P> 0.05). كلن أتضح وجود تحسن نوعي بمدي الحركة الأساسي للفقرات القطنية بكلا المجموعتين (0.02& 0.001) بعد تنفيذ العلاج ولكن بدون وجود إختلاف بمؤشري ألم الضغط الموضعي وجودة الحياة بكلا المجموعتين ( (0.042& 0.053ومدي تغيير 27.13& 27.06 لكل مجموعة. وباختصار؛ تبين وجود تحسن نوعي بسبب العلاج بالدراسة بكلا المجموعتين وتنفيذه؛ وكذلك لكلاهما سواء العلاج المنفذ أو تطبيقه. الخلاصة: يعد كلا من الميكروكرنت والحجامة الرطبة علاجاً فعالاً لآلام أسفل الظهر غير المحدد من كبار السن البدناء وكفاءة أعلي للحجامة الرطبة وفقاً لمدي حركة الأساسي للفقرات القطنية. |
