| Summary, etc. | Aim: The aim of this in vitro study was to assess the color of CAD/CAM reinforced composite material (BRILLIANT Crios) under different shades of tooth substrate. Methodology: A total of 21 rectangular-shaped (12×10×1 mm) samples were sliced from A3 HT 12 mm CAD/CAM BRILLIANT Crios blocks. Another 21 rectangular-shaped (12×10×2.5 mm) composite samples were prepared from IPS Natural Die Material with three different shades (ND3, ND5, ND7). After baseline color measurements, each slice was cemented to a composite resin sample, and the final color measurements were obtained using a spectrophotometer. The difference between the baseline and the final color measurements was calculated with the CIELAB color difference (∆Eab*) formula. To analyze the data statistically, an ANOVA test was performed. Results: Different shades of substrate significantly affected ∆Eab. Among the three tested shades, ND3 substrate had the highest L* and a* values, but the lowest b* value. ND7 substrate had the highest b* value. ND5 substrate had the lowest L* and a* values.<br/>Conclusion: Color change (∆E) of ND3 and ND5 were clinically acceptable while that of ND7 was clinically unacceptable, as the acceptability threshold is equal to 3.3. The resulting optical color of CAD/CAM BRILLIANT Crios was greatly influenced by the color of the underlying tooth substrate. The darker the shade of the tooth substrate, the less ability of the BRILLIANT Crios to mask the darker shade. |

| Summary, etc. | كان الهدف من هذه الدراسة المختبرية هو تقييم لون مادة الكادكام الكومبوزيت المقوي )بريلينت كريوس) تحت ظلال مختلفة من ركيزة الأسنان.<br/>الطرق البحثية: تم قطع واحد وعشرون عينة مستطيلة الشكل (۱۲×۱۰×۱مم) من مادة بريلينت كريوس عالية الشفافية بلون A3 ومقاس ۱۲وتم تحضير ۲۱عينة من ركيزة الأسنان (۱۲×۱۰×۲.۵مم) بثلاثة درجات من الالوان (ND3, ND5, ND7). بعد القياس اللون الأساسي، تم لصق العينات لركيزة الاسنان، ثم تم قياس اللون باستخدام مقياس الطيف الضوئي. و تم حساب الفرق بين القياس الأساسي والقياس النهائي لللون باستخدام صيغة اختلاف اللون (∆Eab*). النتائج: أثرت بشكل كبير الالوان المختلفة من ركيزة الأسنان علي ∆Eab. فلقد تأثرت ركيزة الأسنان ND7 بشكل كبير أكبر من ND3 و ND5. أظهرت ND3 أعلي قيم من ∆L* و ∆a* ، ولكن أقل قيمة من ∆b*. في حين أن ND7 أظهرت أعلي قيمة من ∆b*. وقد أظهرت ND5 أقل قيمة من L* ∆و ∆a*. الاستنتاج: نستنتج من هذه الدراسة أن تأثر اللون البصري الناتج لمادة الكادكام الكومبوزيت المقوي )بريلينت كريوس) بشكل كبير بلون ركيزة السن حيث كلما كان اللون ركيزة السن أغمق ، كلما قلت قدرة البريلينت كريوس على إخفاء اللون الداكن. |
