| Summary, etc. | Emotional intelligence is probed as an important characteristic for building successful emotions to nursing staff that lead to enhancing nurses` emotion and improving patient safety climate. Aim of study: The aim was to investigate the relationship between nurses’ emotional intelligence and their perception of patient safety climate. Design: A descriptive correlational design was used for this study. Setting: The setting was conducted at New Kasr Al-Aini Teaching Hospital, Cairo University Hospital. A convenience sample: 250 nurses were constituted a study sample. Tools: Data was collected two tools using emotional intelligence and patient safety climate questionnaire. Results: The results revealed that the total mean percent of nurses´ emotional intelligence was 86.64% which indicated high level of emotional intelligence. Moreover, the mean percent of total mean score of patient safety climate of 72.33% which indicate high level of patient safety. In addition, there was highly statistical significant positive correlation (r=0.405**, P=0.00) between emotional intelligence and patient safety climate. Conclusion: There was highly statistical significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and patient safety climate. Recommendations: The nurse manager must help staff nurses to develop clinical judgment skills through consistent feedback and instruction, the nurse leader must train nurses how to positively engage in conflict resolution and stay engaged to promote collaboration and effective care. |

| Summary, etc. | رغم إهتمام إدارات المستشفيات بالأجراءات التمريضية للمريض الا ان تجاهلها بمشاعر الممرضين يؤثر تأثيرِا سلبيا فى انتاج مناخ أمان للمريض، فإن الذكاء العاطفي من العوامل الهامة لبناء المشاعر الناجحة لدى طاقم التمريض والتي تؤدي إلى تعزيز عاطفة الممرضين وتحسين مناخ سلامة المرضى . هدف الدراسة: كان الهدف من البحث هو دراسة العلاقة بين الذكاء العاطفي للممرضات وإدراكهن لمناخ سلامة المرضى. تصميم البحث : تم استخدام التصميم الارتباطي الوصفي لهذه الدراسة. مكان تنفيذ البحث : تم إجراء الإعداد في مستشفى القصر العيني التعليمي الجديد، مستشفى جامعة القاهرة. عينة البحث : اشتملت عينة البحث على 250 ممرضة وممرضة كعينة للدراسة. الأدوات: تم جمع البيانات باستخدام أداتين هما استبيان الذكاء العاطفي واستبيان مناخ سلامة المرضى. النتائج: أظهرت النتائج أن متوسط نسبة الذكاء العاطفي لدى الممرضات بلغ 86.64% مما يدل على ارتفاع مستوى الذكاء العاطفي. كما بلغ متوسط النسبة الإجمالية لمتوسط درجات مناخ سلامة المرضى 72.33% مما يشير إلى مستوى عالٍ من سلامة وأمان المرضى. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، كان هناك ارتباط إيجابي ذو دلالة إحصائية عالية (r=0.405**, P=0.00) بين الذكاء العاطفي ومناخ سلامة المرضى. الاستنتاج: هناك علاقة إيجابية ذات دلالة إحصائية عالية بين الذكاء العاطفي ومناخ سلامة المرضى. التوصيات: يجب أن يساعد مدير الممرضات على تطوير وتنمية مهاراتهم من خلال المعلومات والأرشادات ، ويجب على قائد الممرضات تدريب الممرضات على كيفية المشاركة بشكل إيجابي في حل النزاعات وتشجعهم لتحسين التعاون والرعاية الفعالة. |
