| Summary, etc. | To compare COR in children with carious primary molars (PM) treated with stainless steel crowns under GA before and after their placement and assess the possibility and the time required for the preoperative canine relation to return to normal. This before-and-after study enrolled 90 patients at the beginning of the trial. It was divided into two parts: parts 1 and 2. The trial was performed on 73 children _17 cases drop-out_ with 457 crowns between 2 to 6 years of age requiring dental treatment under GA. The distance from the gingival zenith<br/>of the maxillary and mandibular primary canines was measured by the digital calliper with teeth in MIP<br/>before and immediately after GA postoperatively, besides follow-up measurements within 4 weeks, 2<br/>and 6 months. A questionnaire was taken by the principal investigators collecting data related to the pain<br/>and discomfort complained and the type and frequency of food intake before treatment from parents. The<br/>relief of pain or discomfort after treatment was recorded at the follow-up visits. The change in COR was<br/>analysed using repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) and linear regression test. Seventy-three participants (81.1%) completed the follow-up period (6 months). The COR showed the highest value postoperatively (10.99, 11.49) m.m for the right and left sides, respectively. Then it gradually decreased till nearly coinciding with preoperative measurement on both sides (10.50,10.8) m.m throughout follow-ups and showing a statistically significant difference (P≤0.05) between pre-operative and post-operative measurements, while it was not of clinical significance with effect size (0.3 right side) and (0.47 left side). Also, there was no significant difference between preoperative and 4-week, 2- and 6-month follow-up periods (P> 0.05).<br/>Following the placement of SSCs while under general anaesthetic, there is a chance that the vertical dimension of occlusion may vary, but this is likely to happen quickly and uniformly before occlusal stability is reached |

| Summary, etc. | دراسة لمقارنة علاقة الناب الإطباقية عند الأطفال الذين يعانون من تسوس الأضراس اللبنية بعد المعالجة بتيجان الستانلس ستيل )المقاوم للصدأ( تحت التخدير العام قبل وبعد وضعهم وتقييم الاحتمالية والوقت اللازم لعودة علاقة الناب قبل الجراحة إلى وضعها الطبيعي. سجلت هذه الدراسة (قبل وبعد ) 90 مريضا في بداية التجربة. تم تقسيمها إلى جزئين: جزء 1 وجزء 2. أجريت التجربة على 73 طفلاً _ 17 حالة تركوا التحربة_ قاموا بتركيب 457 تاجًا تتراوح أعمارهم بين 2 إلى 6 سنوات. تم علاج الأسنان تحت التخدير العام ثم قياس المسافة من ذروة اللثة للأنياب الأولية للفك العلوي والفك السفلي بواسطة الفرجار الرقمي مع الأسنان في اقصي موضع للإطباق قبل وبعد التخدير العام بعد الجراحة مباشرة ، إلى جانب متابعة القياسات في غضون 4 أسابيع و 2 و 6 أشهر. تم أخذ استبيان من قبل الفاحصين لجمع البيانات المتعلقة بالألم وعدم الراحة المشكو منه ونوع وتكرار تناول الطعام قبل العلاج من الوالدين. تم تسجيل تخفيف الألم أو الانزعاج بعد العلاج في زيارات المتابعة. تم تحليل التغيير في علاقة الإطباق باستخدام القياسات المتكررة لتحليل التباين<br/>واختبار الانحدار الخطي. )ANOVA( أكمل ثلاثة وسبعون مشاركًا ) 81.1 ٪( فترة المتابعة ) 6 أشهر(. أظهرت علاقة إطباق الأنياب أعلى قيمة بعد العملية الجراحية 11.49 ( متر مكعب للجانب الأيمن والأيسر على التوالي. ثم تناقص تدريجيا حتى تزامن تقريبا مع القياس قبل الجراحة على ، 10.99(<br/>بين قياسات ما قبل الجراحة وبعدها )P≤ 10.8 ( م. م من خلال المتابعة. عرض فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية ) 0.05 ، كلا الجانبين ) 10.50<br/>، بينما لم تكن ذات دلالة إكلينيكية مع حجم التأثير ) 0.3 الجانب الأيمن( و ) 0.47 الجانب الأيسر(. كما لم يكن هناك فرق معنوي بين .)P> فترات المتابعة قبل الجراحة و 4 أسابيع و 2 و 6 أشهر ) 0.05 أثناء التخدير العام ، هناك فرصة أن الانسداد والبعد الرأسي قد يختلفان ، ولكن من المحتمل أن يحدث هذا SSCs بعد وضع بسرعة وبشكل موحد قبل الوصول إلى استقرار الإطباق. |
