| Summary, etc. | Aim: This study aims to evaluate the accuracy of a newly developed mobile application versus the conventional hand tracing method of cephalometric analysis in the measuring of dental and skeletal cephalometric measurments among pre-adolescent patients. Methodology: Thirty-one cephalometric x-rays of pre-adolescent patients (8-13) years old were traced manually (reference test) and by using the Pediceph mobile application (index test) to detect its accuracy. The intraobserver and interobserver reliability were calculated.<br/> Results: Comparisons between the two tests revealed insignificant differences in all measurements with P>0.05. Interobserver reliability (inter Class Coefficient) revealed excellent agreement (ICC = >0.9), and intraobserver reliability (inter Class Coefficient) revealed excellent agreement (ICC = >0.9), very good agreement (ICC=0.8-0.9) for all measurements.<br/>Conclusion: Pediceph is an accurate orthodontic diagnostic tool capable of performing cephalometric tracing procedures. It saves time and reduces error. |

| Summary, etc. | تعتبر الأشعة الجانيبية الرأسية السينية أداة أساسية لتشخيص تقويم الأسنان وتخطيط العلاج ودراسة نمط نمو المجمع القحفي الوجهي. الهدف الرئيسي لتحليل قياس الرأس هو مقارنة قياسات المريض المأخوذة من مخطط رأسي مقابل "القيم القياسية". تم توثيق طرق متعددة لتتبع القياسات الرأسية ؛ التعقب اليدوي هو المعيار الذهبي. على الرغم من قيودها ، تعتبر برامج التحليل الرقمي تقنية تتبع دقيقة وسهلة الاستخدام<br/> تطبيق الهاتف المحمول هو محاولة مصرية لإجراء تحليل قياس الرأس بناءً على المعايير المصرية, تهدف هذه الدراسة الي تقييم دقة هذا التطبيق المطور حديثا في تحليل قياس الرأس مقابل تقنية التتبع اليدوي<br/> تم جمع واحد وثلاثين من سجلات الأشعة السينية للقياسات الرأسية الجانبية لمرضى ما قبل المراهقة (8-13) سنة. حدد مراقبان المعالم التشريحية وجميع القياسات الرأسية اللازمة باستخدام الطريقة اليدوية وتقنية تتبع التطبيق ، وتم تقييم الموثوقية بين المراقبين. تم فحص جميع الأشعة السينية بمقاييس الرأس مرتين بالطريقة اليدوية وتتبع التطبيق في أسبوع واحد لاكتشاف موثوقية المراقب الداخلي.<br/> كشفت المقارنة بين نتائج الاختبارين (الطريقة اليدوية وطريقة تتبع التطبيق) عن عدم وجود اختلافات ذات دلالة احصائية , و قد تم تقييم الاتفاق في النتائج بين المراقبين وكشف عن اتفاق ممتاز, اما عن تقييم الاتفاق بين قراءتين لنفس المراقب وأظهرت توافقًا ممتازًا واتفاقًا جيدًا للغاية في جميع القياسات.<br/> من الدراسة السابقة خلصنا إلى أن التتبع الرقمي للرأس هو طريقة سهلة ودقيقة لتشخيص تقويم الأسنان ، والقياسات الرأسية القائمة على التطبيق (PediCeph) لها نفس دقة طريقة التتبع اليدوي ، ويمكن اعتبارها اسلوب تحليل دقيق. |
