| Summary, etc. | This study was designed to investigate effect of Active PNF versus <br/>Diaphragmatic Breathing exercise on lymphedema post mastectomy <br/>Sixty-four female patients who had undergone a mastectomy <br/>involving axillary lymph nodes, and had lymphedema of an upper <br/>extremity as a result. The patients had lymphedema in only one upper <br/>extremity. Their ages ranged from 40 to 60 years. The participants were <br/>selected from surgical department- National Cancer. and randomly <br/>distributed into two equal groups. <br/>All patients were evaluated before the treatment and after 6-week <br/>post treatment. Both groups received CDT and group (A) in addition <br/>received diaphragmatic breathing. and group (B)in addition active PNF <br/>Limb circumferential measurements were taken at five point (axillary, <br/>mid arm, elbow, mid forearm, wrist) and DASH were calculted before <br/>treatment and after treatment <br/>Effect of treatment on upper limb volume and DASH: <br/>Within group comparison <br/>There was a significant decrease in upper limb volume and DASH <br/>post treatment in both groups compared with that pretreatment (p <br/><0.001). The percent of change in upper limb volume and DASH of <br/>group A was 15.64 and 30.92% respectively and that in group B was <br/>22.53 and 47.31% respectively. <br/>49 <br/>Between group comparison <br/>There was no significant difference between groups pre treatment <br/>(p > 0.05). Comparison between groups post treatment revealed a <br/>significant decrease in upper limb volume and DASH group B compared <br/>with that of group A (p < 0.01). |

| Summary, etc. | الهدف من البحث: <br/>أجرى هذا البحثلمقارنه تأثير تمارين التنفس وتمارين تسهيلات العصبية العضلية على الوذمة الليمفاوية عقب استئصال <br/>مواد وأساليب البحث:<br/>أجريت هذه الدراسة على اربعه وستين مريضا ممن يعانون من التورم الليمفاوي في زراع واحدة أعمارهم تتراوح ما بين اربعين والستين عاما وتم اختيارهم من معهدالقومىللاورام و قد تم تقسيمهم عشوائيا إلى مجموعتين متساويتين:<br/>ا-المجموعة الاختبار الأولى: <br/>احتوت هذه المجموعة على اثنين وثلاثينمريضا ممن تلقوا تمارين الحجاب الحاجز التنفسية جانب العلاج الطبيعي التقليدي بواقع جلستين أسبوعيا وذلك لمدة ست اسابيع <br/>2-المجموعة الاختبار الثانية:<br/>احتوت هذه المجموعة على اثنين وثلاثين مريضا ممن تلقوا تمارين التسهيلات العصبية العضلية جانب العلاج الطبيعي التقليدي بواقع جلستين أسبوعيًا وذلك لمده ست اسابيع<br/>وقد أظهرت النتائج ما يلى:<br/>هناك مزيد من التحسن في المرضى في المجموعتين قبل وبعد العلاج ولكن حجم الزراع انخفضبنسبه اكبر في المجموعة الثانية عن المجموعة الاولى لذا اثبت الدراسة ان اضافه تمارين التنفس وتمرينات التسهيلات العصبية العضلية بجانب العلاج الطبيعي التقليدي اكثر فعالية في انخفاض الوذمة الليمفاوي كما اوضح شريط القياس<br/> <br/> |
