| Summary, etc. | Fungal keratitis, another name for keratomycosis, is a serious and challenging condition that affects the eye and can result in irreparable vision loss or even blindness. Fungal infections in the eyes are mostly caused by the species of candida, which requires long-term usage of antifungal medication for therapy. <br/>Topical eye drops are the most convenient dosage form for treating keratomycosis because they are easy to apply and have good patient compliance when compared to other ocular dose forms. However, the complex anatomy of the eye makes it difficult to achieve adequate ocular drug concentration, reducing fungal infection clearance; thus, poor ocular bioavailability, limited retention time, and low ocular tissue penetration are major concerns in the topical use of antifungal agents.<br/>Amorolfine hydrochloride (AMO) is a morpholine derivative with a broad-spectrum antifungal medication that has been used to treat a variety of human fungal infections brought on by yeasts, dermatophytes, and opportunistic pathogenic fungi.<br/>Mixed micelles (MMs) have been chosen as potential nanocarriers for enhancing the corneal penetration and deposition of AMO. <br/>Optimum AMO-MMs showed enhanced antifungal activity with no irritation signs. AMO-MMs could be a promising alternative to the standard commercial ophthalmic suspension for fungal keratitis.<br/>This study aimed to investigate and prove amorolfine HCl (AMO) antifungal activity upon drug encapsulation into a mixed micelles (MMs) vesicle system to uphold ocular penetration and drug activity. |

| Summary, etc. | تعتبر الاصابة بفطريات قرنية العين ، أو التهاب القرنية الفطري ، عدوي فطرية يمكن أن تؤدي إلى تشوهات بصرية أو حتى العمى في حاله تأخر العلاج. تحدث الالتهابات الفطرية في العين وقد تتطلب استخدامًا طويل الأمد للأدوية المضادة للفطريات للعلاج في الغالب تكون بسبب أنواع من فطريات تسمي species of candia.يعد عقار الامورولفين-حمض الهيدروكلوريك (AMO)، من مشتقات المورفولين، دواء مضاد للفطريات واسع المجال يتم استخدامه لعلاج مجموعة متنوعة من الالتهابات الفطرية التي تصيب الانسان و الناتجة عن الفطريات والفطريات المسببة لالتهاب الاظافر والفطريات المصاحبه لأمراض نقص المناعه. ومع ذلك ، فإن لديه قابلية ذوبان مائية ضعيفة ، مما يحد من تحضيره في نظام توصيل مناسب للعين.تعد قطرات العين الموضعية هي من أكثر أشكال الجرعات ملاءمة لعلاج الاصابة بفطريات قرنية العين نظرًا لسهولة الاستعمال استجابة المريض للعلاج مقارنة بأشكال جرعات العين الأخرى. ومع ذلك ، فإن التشريح المعقد للعين يمثل تحديًا في توصيل تركيز مناسب من الأدوية للعين ، مما يؤثر سلبًا على إزالة العدوى الفطرية ؛ لذلك ، فإن الاتاحة الحيوية للدواء في العين ، وزمن التواجد المحدود ، وانخفاض اختراق أنسجة العين هي مجالات الاهتمام الرئيسي في الاستخدام الموضعي للعوامل المضادة للفطريات.<br/>تم اختيارالمذيلات المختلطه (MMs) كنظام نانوي حويصلي محتمل لتعزيز اختراق العقار (AMO) في القرنية. وقد اوضحت النتائج ان العينه (AMO-MMs) المثلى اظهرت نشاطًا جيدًا مضادًا للفطريات بدون علامات تهيج للعين وعلي ذلك ، يمكن أن تكون المذيلات المختلطه المحمله بالامورولفين-حمض الهيدروكلوريك (AMO-MMs) بديلاً واعدًا للادويه التجارية المتعارف عليها لعلاج التهاب القرنية الفطري. ولذلك كان الهدف من هذه الرسالة هو التحقيق وإثبات نشاط الامورولفين-حمض الهيدروكلوريك المضاد للفطريات عند وضعه في نظام مذيلات مختلط (MMs) لدعم اختراق العين ونشاط الدواء. |
