| Summary, etc. | Background and Purpose: This study aimed to recognize the effect of glucosamine phonophoresis on heling of hand flexor tendon post repair.<br/>Materials and Methods: It was a randomized controlled trial. Overall, 60 male and female patients who experienced flexor tendon repair surgery, aged 25–45 years, were randomized into 2 equal groups. Group A received Glucosamine phonophoresis and exercise program (passive, active range of motion (ROM) exercise) for 12 weeks (3 times/week). Group B received topical Glucosamine and exercises program (passive, active ROM exercise and Massage) for 12 weeks (3 time/week). Dynamometer was used to measure hand grip post treatment at 12th week, ultrasonography measure continuity of intratendinous fibrillar pattern pre and post treatment.<br/>Results. Statistical analysis showed that there was a significant increase in hand grip of group A compared with that of group B (p = 0.003) and there was no significant difference in median values of continuity of intratendinous fibrillar pattern between group A and B at 12 weeks post–operative (p = 0.31).<br/>Conclusions. Glucosamine phonophoresis is effective in hand flexor tendon healing post repair. |

| Summary, etc. | الخلفية والغرض: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على تأثير انتقال الجلوكازامين بالموجات فوق الصوتية العلاجية على إلتئام الأوتار المرنة لليد بعد العملية الجراحية.<br/>المواد والطرق: كانت دراسة عشوائية. تم توجيه مجموعة متنوعة من المرضى من الجنسين (ذكور وإناث) البالغ عددهم 60، الذين خضعوا لجراحة إصلاح أوتار المرفق، وتتراوح أعمارهم بين 25 و45 عامًا، إلى مجموعتين متساويتين. تلقت المجموعة أ انتقال الجلوكازامين بالموجات فوق الصوتية العلاجية وبرنامج تمارين (تمارين الحركة النشطة والسكونية) لمدة 12 أسبوعًا (3 مرات في الأسبوع). في حين تلقت المجموعة ب الجلوكوزامين الموضعي وبرنامج تمارين لمدة 12 أسبوعًا (3 مرات في الأسبوع). وتم استخدام دايناموميتر لقياس قوة قبضة اليد بعد العلاج في الأسبوع الثاني عشر، واستخدمت التصوير بالموجات فوق الصوتية لقياس استمرار نمط الألياف داخل الوتر قبل وبعد العلاج.<br/>النتائج: أظهر التحليل الإحصائي أن هناك زيادة ذات دلاله إحصائيه في قوة قبضة اليد في المجموعة أ مقارنةً بالمجموعة ب (p = 0.003) ، ولم يكن هناك فرق ذات دلاله إحصائيه في القيم الوسيطة لاستمرار نمط الألياف داخل الوتر بين المجموعة A والمجموعة B في الأسبوع الثاني عشر بعد العملية (p = 0.31).<br/>الاستنتاجات: انتقال الجلوكازامين بالموجات فوق الصوتية العلاجية فعّال في إلتئام أوتار المرفق بعد العملية الجراحية. |
