Summary, etc. | This study evaluated and compared the efficacy of the different bleaching agents and techniques in changing the shade of the tooth and the degree of penetration of different bleaching agents into the pulp chamber. Bovine and human permenant central incisors were collected. Samples were divided into<br/>two main groups Group I: Bovine teeth (n=50) Group II: Human teeth (n=50). Each group was sub-divided into four sub-groups (n=10) according to the four types of bleaching materials, Extra control group was used and exposed only to distilled water. Apices of all teeth were cut approximately 3 mm apical to the<br/>cement-enamel junction. All the teeth were stained using the tea staining method. Before proceeding in the experiment calibration curve was prepared using different concentrations of hydrogen peroxide. Then, the pulp chambers were dried by air syringe and 100 micro liters of acetate buffer was placed into the<br/>pulp chamber of each tooth using a pipette. The teeth in the subgroups were exposed to the following bleaching agents, respectively, Zoom in office whitening light activated system (25% hydrogen peroxide), chemically activated Opalescence Xtra boost 38% hydrogen peroxide, home bleaching Opalescence<br/>Carbamide peroxide and Crest white strips. After the 30 minutes exposure period, the acetate buffer solution in the pulp chamber of each tooth was removed. Leuco-crystal violet and horse radish peroxidase enzyme were also added, until the development of the blue color. After the removal of the buffer solution from the specimens, bleaching was continued for the for 7 application times for subgroup samples of the Opalescence carbamide peroxide gel and the Crest white strips, for precise evaluation of the whitening efficacy of the bleaching materials. The amount of the penetrated hydrogen peroxide was evaluated by the measuring the optical density of the resultant blue color in the tubes using a spectrophotometer at wavelength 596nm. Then the measurements were converted into micro gram equivalents of hydrogen peroxide which were to be plotted from the prepared calibration curve. The whitening efficiency of the bleaching materials was evaluated using the shade guide (classic vita shade guide). Data analysis was performed by One way ANOVA followed by pairwise<br/>Tukey post-hoc tests were performed to detect significance between subgroups. Student t-test was performed to detect significance between groups. The results of the whitening efficacy of the bleaching materials in bovine teeth showed that Zoom group recorded the highest statistically significant shade score mean value followed by Carbamide peroxide group then Xtra boost while Crest white strips group recorded the lowest statistically significant shade score mean value as indicated by ANOVA test (p<0.05). While in human teeth it was found<br/>that Zoom group recorded the highest statistically significant shade score mean value followed by Carbamide peroxide group then Xtra boost while Crest white strips group recorded the lowest statistically significant shade score mean value as indicated by ANOVA test (p<0.05). The results of penetration in the bovine<br/>teeth showed that Xtra boost group recorded the highest statistically significant absorbance mean value followed by Zoom group then Carbamide peroxide while Crest white strips group recorded the lowest statistically significant absorbance mean value as indicated by ANOVA test (p<0.05). While in human teeth it was<br/>found that Xtra boost group recorded the highest statistically significant absorbance mean value followed by Carbamide peroxide group then Crest white strips while Zoom group recorded the lowest statistically significant absorbance mean value as indicated by ANOVA test (p<0.05. |

Summary, etc. | قامت هذه الدراسة على تقييم ومقارنة كفاءة مختلف المواد والأساليب الفنية فى تغيير درجة لون الأسنان ودرجة تغلغل مختلف أدوات التبييض داخل تجاويف<br/>لب الأسنان. ولأغراض هذه الدراسة فقد قامت التجربة على أساس تجميع اسنان من القواطع البقرية و القواطع البشرية المستديمة، وقسمت العينات الى مجوعتين رئيسيتين، تحتوى الأولى على عدد خمسين ) 05 ( سنا بقريا وتشتمل الثانية على عدد ) 05 ( سنا بشرية. وبعدها فقد تم تقسيم كل واحدة من المجموعتين الرئيسيتين الى أربعة أقسام فرعية تتكون كل منها من عشرة أسنان طبقا للأنماط الأربع لمواد التبييض، بينما استخدمت العشرة أسنان المتبقية فى كل مجموعة رئيسية باعتبارها مجموعة قياس اضافية اكتفى بتعريضها للماء المقطر. ولقد تم تقطيع رؤوس الأسنان بارتفاع يصل الى 3 ملليمتر تقريبا عند قمة اتصال الطبقة الصخرية للسن وطبقة المينا واستخدمت لذلك الغرض ماسة قطع. وتم صبغ الأسنان باستخدام طريقة التلطيخ باستخدام الشاى. ولكن قبل الاسترسال فى أداء التجربة فقد تم اعداد منحنى معايرة وذلك باستخدام مختلف تركيزات بيروكسيد الهيدروجين، وتم تجفيف تجاويف لب الأسنان باستخدام محقن هواء وتم وضع عازل من الأسيتات يبلغ سمكه 155 ميكروليترداخل تجويف لب كل سن وذلك باستخدام ممص. كما تم على التوالى تعريض الأسنان فى المجموعات الفرعية الى مواد التبييض تبييض خفيف بنظام منشط ) 20 فى المائة Zoom in office الآتية:زووم ان اوفيس بنسبة ( palescence Xtra Boost بيروكسيد الهيدروجين, اوبالسنس اكسترا بوست )Opalescence 33 فى المائة بيروكسيد الهيدروجين(,اوبالسنس كارباميد بيروكسيد بنسبة 25 فى المائة من بيروكسيد الكاربميد(, الكرست carbamide peroxide بنسبة 33 فى المائة بيروكسيد الهيدروجين(. Crest white strips وايت ستربس وبعد فترة التعرض لمواد التبييض هذه فقد تم ازالة محلول عازل الأستيت الموجود داخل تجويف لب كل سن وذلك باستخدام الممص حيث تم نقل المحلول الى أنبوب زجاجى. |
