| Summary, etc. | An experimental program was prepared and carried out to determine the actual <br/>demand of additional hanger reinforcement due to indirect loading in case of <br/>intersecting reinforced concrete beams. <br/>Many parameters were investigated in this program to test their effect, such as, <br/>changing the number of stirrups at the joint region, changing the depth of the supported <br/>beam relative to the supporting beam, changing the width of the supported beam, <br/>testing the ability of the hanger reinforcement in transferring shear loads (inside the <br/>intersection area and the adjacent area, and finally how well these results agree with <br/>the ECP203-2018 provisions. <br/>It was observed that the number of stirrups and the depth of the supported beam <br/>have major effect on the system behavior, while the width of the supported beam <br/>showed less significant effect. It is also worth noting that the stirrups at the adjacent <br/>area to the intersection effectively contribute much as the stirrups inside. From all the <br/>previous results it can safely be stated that the provisions and the equations provided <br/>by the ECP203-2018 are reasonable and give accurate estimations. |

| Summary, etc. | تم إجراء تجربة معملية لدراسة سلوك الكمرات الخرسانية المسلحة في حالة التحميل غير المباشر وتقييم الحاجة إلى كانات تسليح إضافية. تم دراسة بعض المتغيرات منها: تغيير عدد كانات القص في منطقة التقاطع، وتغيير أبعاد الكمرة الثانوية (العمق والعرض)، ومدى فعالية الكانات داخل منطقة التقاطع والمنطقة المجاورة لها، وأيضا مدى مطابقة النتائج لإرشادات ومعادلات الكود المصري للخرسانة المسلحة. بنهاية البحث تبين أن زيادة عدد الكانات في منطقة التقاطع يزيد من قدرة الكمرات على تحمل قوى قص أعلى، كما تبين أن زيادة عمق الكمرة الثانوية يؤثر سلبًا على قدرة تحمل الكمرات. تغيير عرض الكمرات الثانوية تأثيره هامشيًا مما يقسر عدم وجوده كمتغير في معادلات الكود المصري. أخيرا يمكن القول إن معادلات وتوصيات الكود منطقية وتتنبأ بالنتائج بشكل دقيق. |
