Summary, etc. | Two designs of all-optical 4x2 encoders and half adders utilize a two-dimensional square <br/>lattice photonic crystal structure with dielectric rods in air. They operate on optical <br/>interference, where logic ’1’ signifies constructive interference and logic ’0’ destructive <br/>interference. Analysis is done using plane wave expansion and finite difference time <br/>domain methods to understand signal behavior and calculate the photonic band gap. The <br/>encoders ENC_1 and ENC_2 have small footprint areas of 204.8 μm2 and 160.4 μm2, with <br/>response times of 254 fs and 163 fs and contrast ratios of 6.69 dB and 12.9 dB, respectively. <br/>Half adders HA_1 and HA_2 have footprint areas of 206.8 μm2 and 161.9 μm2, with <br/>response times of 170 fs and 400 fs, and SUM contrast ratios of 7.2 dB and 21.5 dB, and <br/>CARRY contrast ratios of 3.8 dB and 5.4 dB, respectively. |

Summary, etc. | في هذه الرسالة، تم اقتراح تصميمين للمشفرات الضوئية 4 x 2 وتصميمين للجامعات النصفية الضوئية باستخدام بنية بلورية فوتونية ثنائية الأبعاد تتكون من شبكية مربعة لأعواد من مادة عازلة مدمجة في خلفية هوائية. تعتمد نظرية التشغيل على ظاهرة التداخل الضوئى، حيث يشير المنطق "1" إلى التداخل البناء، بينما يشير المنطق "0" إلى التداخل الهدام. تُستخدم الطرق تمدد الموجة المستوية والفروق المحددة في النطاق الزمنى لتحليل سلوك الإشارة ولحساب فجوة النطاق الضوئية. المشفرات ENC_1 وENC_2 لديهم مساحات صغيرة تبلغ 204.8 ميكرومتر2 و160.4 ميكرومتر2 وأوقات إستجابة تبلغ 254 فيمتوثانية و163 فيمتوثانية، ونسب تباين تبلغ 6.69 ديسيبل و12.9 ديسيبل على التوالي. الجامعات النصفية HA_1 وHA_2 لديهم مساحات تبلغ 206.8 ميكرومتر2 و161.9ميكرومتر2 على التوالي. وأوقات إستجابة تبلغ 170 فيمتوثانية و400 فيمتوثانية، ونسب تباين لل SUM تبلغ 7.2 ديسيبل و21.5 ديسيبل ونسب تباين لل CARRY تساوى 3.8 ديسيبل و5.4 ديسيبل على التوالي. |
