| Summary, etc. | Aim: This study evaluated the effect of fabrication technique on the Translucency and color stability of zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate glass ceramics.<br/>Methodology: A total of Twenty -four ceramic plates (2 mm thickness) were fabricated from heat-pressed and milled zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate glass-ceramic (ZLS). all samples were divided into two groups (n=12) group 1: from heat-pressed zirconia reinforced lithium silicates ceramic (Vita Ambria) Ingots were lab processed following the manufacturer’s instructions and group 2: from milled zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate glass-ceramic (Vita suprinity) were obtained by sectioning CAD/CAM blocks with diamond saw (IsoMet 4000) under water cooling. Color and translucency parameter (TP) were measured according to CIELAB color space using spectrophotometer before and after thermocycling for 5000 cycles in a thermocycling paths with 50C and 550C Changes in color (ΔE) and TP (ΔTP) were calculated. <br/>Results: Using an independent t-test, a comparison between them was made, and it was found that regarding ΔTP Group 1 (0.8± 0.22) was significantly lower than group 2 (1.27 ± 0.29) and regarding ΔE Group 1 (1.99 ± 0.15) was significantly lower than Group 2 (2.82 ± 0.16) with (0.83 ± 0.06) difference as P=0.0001.<br/>Conclusion: <br/>Thermocycling significantly affects both translucency and color stability of the tested zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate (ZLS)ceramics. Milled ZLS (Vita Suprinity) significantly less change in translucency after thermocycling compared to the heat-pressed ZLS (Vita Ambria) while Vita Ambria exhibited surprisingly better color stability after thermocycling. |

| Summary, etc. | الهدف: كان الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو مقارنة الفعالية السريرية والتكلفة لغسولات الفم التي تحتوي على كركم لونجا (مستخلص الكركم) مع غسول الفم ليسترين® وغسول الفم الوهمي، المكون من الماء العادي، في تقليل رائحة الفم الكريهة لدى مجموعة من الأطفال المصريين<br/>الطرق: أجريت الدراسة على 30 طفلا تتراوح أعمارهم بين 8-12 سنوات يترددون على العيادة الخارجية لقسم طب أسنان الأطفال والصحة العامة للأسنان ، كلية طب الأسنان ، جامعة القاهرة.<br/>تم عمل التأهيل الطبي الكامل للفم لكل مريض قبل البدا في استخدام المضمضه لاستبعاد أن رائحة الفم الكريهة كانت بسبب تسوسات الأسنان. تم تقسيم الحالات الي ثلاث مجموعات متساويه استخدمت المجموعة الأولى غسول الفم بالكركم, واستخدمت المجموعة الثانية غسول الفم بالزيت العطري ليسترين، , واستخدمت المجموعة الثالثه الدواء الوهمي المكون من الماء العادي.<br/>تم توجيه المجموعات الثلاث لاستخدام غسول الفم بمقدار 10 مل مرتين يوميًا لمدة أسبوعين. ومن ثم التوقف عن غسول الفم لمدة أسبوعين آخرين والاستمرار في تنظيف أسنانهم بالفرشاه فقط. ثم استخدم نفس غسول الفم لمدة أسبوعين آخرين. وكان إجمالي المتابعة ستة أسابيع. <br/>تم تسجيل درجة رائحة الفم الكريهة عند التوظيف، بعد إعادة تأهيل الفم بالكامل، بعد أسبوعين ، 4 أسابيع و 6 أسابيع من المتابعة باستخدام جهاز تانيتا لقياس معدل الرائحة المنبعثة من الفم ويعطي النتائج علي هيئة ارقام من صفر الي خمسة حيث ان من 0 الي 2 يعتبر جيدا ومن 3 الي 5 يدل علي وجود رائحة كريهة.<br/>تم تسجيل فعالية التكلفة في نهاية فترة المتابعة.<br/> تم تسجيل استبيان الآثار الجانبية المتعلقة بالمريض بعد 2 و 6 أسابيع من المتابعة.<br/>النتائج: يقيم التحقيق الحالي نتيجتين ؛ النتائج الأولية والثانوية<br/>تضمنت النتيجة الأولية الفعالية السريرية والتكلفة لغسولات الفم التي تحتوي على كركم لونجا (مستخلص الكركم) مع غسول الفم ليسترين وغسول الفم الوهمي.<br/>تضمنت النتيجة الثانوية استبيان به عدة اسئلة للاستعلام عن فعالية الغسول في تقليل الرائحة الكريهة و الآثار الجانبية المتعلقة بالمريض التي قد تحدث من استخدام الغسول. <br/>اظهرت الفعالية السريرية لجميع المجموعات أن المجموعة (أ) والمجموعة (ب) كانت فعالة بنسبة 100%، بينما كانت المجموعة (ج) فعالة بنسبة %10 في تقليل معدل الرائحة الكريهة.<br/>تم حساب متوسط التكلفة لجميع المجموعات، وكانت المجموعة (ب)هي الأعلى تكلفة، ثم المجموعة (ا) يليها المجموعة (ج).<br/>كان متوسط نسبة فعالية التكلفة 0.0014, 0.043, 0.014 للمجموعات (ا) و (ب) و (ج) علي التوالي.<br/>أظهرت إجابات نعم ولا فيما يتعلق باستبيان النتائج المتعلقة بالمريض في جميع المجموعات بعد اسبوعين وستة اسابيع فرقًا كبيرًا بين جميع المجموعات.<br/>الخلاصة: تؤكد نتائج هذه الدراسة أن غسول الفم بالكركم له نفس الفعالية السريرية مثل غسول الفم بالزيت العطري الليسترين وأكثر فعالية من حيث التكلفة في تقليل رائحة الفم الكريهة بين الأطفال. |
