Summary, etc. Deep brain stimulation represents an effective clinical technique treating several movement disorders as Parkinson's, by applying electrical pulses to the brain via implanted electrode . Although the technique is effective , yet the scientific understanding of its mechanisms is unclear , due to the inability to quantify the electric field strength and distribution in specific brain regions and relate the stimulation parameters to changes in neural activity also the lack of understanding of the effect of electricity on the neural elements
