Summary, etc. The aim of the present study was to assess the clinical and microbiological effects of moxifloxacin as an adjunct to scaling / root planing (SRP) and to compare it to SRP alone and SRP combined with the established antibiotic regimen metronidazole and augmentin in patients with advanced chronic periodontitis . The present study was performed on 30 patients diagnosed as having advanced chronic periodontitis
