Summary, etc. Treatment of approximately 50% of human cancers includes the use of chemotherapy. The major problem associated with chemotherapy is the inability to deliver pharmaceuticals to specific site of the body without inducing normal tissue toxicity. Consequently, the efficiency of chemotherapy could potentially be improved by the development of a targeted drug nanocarriers that would enhance the effective water solubility of hydrophobic anticancer drugs as well as the selective delivery of drugs to malignant tissues. Thereby increasing the curative effectiveness of the cancer treatment while sparing normal tissues from the side effects of the chemotherapeutic agent
