Summary, etc. | Fast synaptic inhibitory neurotransmission in the central nervous system is principally mediated by {u01B4}-aminobutyric acid type A receptors(GABAAR) and glycine receptors(G1yR). The spinal cord and brainstem are main sites of actionof glycine receptors. Glycinergic synapses are present in spinal cord motor reflex pathways, spinal cord nociceptive ( pain sensory) pathawys. |
