Phosphodiesterase enzymes are regulators of several cellular and non cellular funcation including cell cycle, metabolism, erectile dysfunction, and cognition. Their actions are mediated through controlling the concentrations of thrir substrates cAMP an cGMP. phosphodiesterase 9 is a cGMP spcsific phosphodiesterase highly exressed in maliganant tissues, tumors, CNS , and spongy tissues. |
